The overall audience for last week’s episode of AEW Collision was down in comparison to the week prior, with the key demo hitting an especially low figure.

Last weekend’s taped edition of the show averaged 253,000 viewers with a 0.02 in the 18-49 demographic, per SpoilerTV and Wrestlenomics.

The average audience was a seven percent decrease in comparison to the prior week’s figure of 271,000.

Collision has hovered around a 0.03 to 0.06 in the 18-49 viewership demo in recent months, but has never dipped as low as the figure recorded for last weekend’s program.

AEW Collision was headlined by a CMLL World Heavyweight Championship match between Claudio Castagnoli and Roderick Strong. Other notable parts of the program saw Hangman Adam Page beat Katsuyori Shibata, and Willow Nightingale defend her TBS Championship against Julia Hart.

The program was up against WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on Peacock, UFC’s first numbered event of the year, as well as NBA coverage on ABC.

AEW originally planned to present the episode of Collision live from the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. However, due to weather issues down south, AEW made the last-minute call to instead tape the show following a live episode of Dynamite in Orlando, Florida, earlier in the week.
