The UFC 325 weigh-ins saw one fight cancellation after a scale controversy highlighted this morning’s event.

Aaron Tau, out of City Kickboxing, is off the Sydney, Australia card after weighing 129 pounds and appearing to manipulate the scale on his first attempt.

Tau was the last to weigh in and required the box to step onto the scale, and surprisingly, fell under the flyweight limit at 122.5 pounds. The fighter was asked to place their shorts on and step back on the scale, where they weighed 129 pounds.

During the UFC weigh-in show, analyst Chris Weidman was openly questioning if his elbows were manipulating the towel, a technique popularized when Daniel Cormier utilized the trick to make weight for his fight with Anthony Johnson at UFC 210.

The fight between Tau and Namsrai Batbayar has been canceled for Saturday’s card, where the two were set to meet in the flyweight final of Road to UFC Season 4.

All other fighters made weight for UFC 325, which streams live on Saturday night from the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
