Tommaso Ciampa is going to make his first independent appearance since leaving WWE.
The new TNT champion finished up his contract with WWE and debuted for AEW last Wednesday, followed by defeating Mark Briscoe on this past weekend’s Collision episode.
Ciampa will be doing an independent date on Friday, March 20, for AAW in Berwyn, Illinois. The promotion is celebrating its 22-year anniversary and has announced that Ciampa will make a “special appearance” without stating if he will be wrestling.
Ciampa wrestled regularly for the promotion from 2014 to 2016 before signing with WWE. His last match at AAW was in September 2016, where he wrestled Pentagon Jr.
