Drilla Moloney is working through an injury on the Road to New Beginning tour.
NJPW shared an update on the wrestler:
On February 3’s live event in Iwaki, Fukushima, Drilla Moloney sustained an injury to his right triceps.
At his personal request, and after consultation with medical staff, Moloney will compete in all remaining matches during the Road to The New Beginning tour as scheduled. Moloney will continue to be closely monitored by trainers and ring doctors.
NJPW wishes Moloney a speedy recovery, and encourages fans to continue lending him their support.
Moloney wrestled in an eight-man tag in Iwate with David Finlay, Robbie X & Gedo against Callum Newman, HENARE, Great O-Khan & Jakob Austin Young.
He is scheduled for Saturday’s Road to New Beginning show in Osaka in a six-man tag main event and an eight-man tag on Sunday.
New Japan’s next major show is New Beginning in Osaka on February 11, where Moloney teams with Shingo Takagi against HENARE & Great O-Khan.
