Hiromu Takahashi has four matches scheduled before leaving New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Earlier this week, the company disclosed that Takahashi is leaving New Japan after New Beginning in Osaka on February 11.

The five-time IWGP junior heavyweight champion will complete the current tour with matches scheduled for Osaka on Saturday & Sunday before New Beginning next Wednesday at Edion Arena.

The Road to New Beginning tour sees Takahashi team with David Finlay, Taiji Ishimori, and Gedo against Callum Newman, HENARE, Jakob Austin & Francesco Akira on Saturday.

Takahashi’s final singles match will be on Sunday when he faces Masatora Yasuda in the opening match of the Road to New Beginning event. The match is a late addition to the card as Hiromu was already scheduled for an eight-man tag and will now wrestle twice on Sunday.

His last match with the company at New Beginning in Osaka is a tag with Taiji Ishimori against Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young.

Takahashi graduated from the New Japan Dojo and debuted in 2010, going on excursions to CMLL in Mexico and Ring of Honor. He returned to New Japan under the “Time Bomb” moniker in 2016 and became the focal point of its junior heavyweight division for the next decade.

Recently, Takahashi was working concurrently with Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he won the GHC junior heavyweight title last September and dropped the belt to AMAKUSA on January 1.
