While the entire attention of the sports and entertainment worlds will shift to the NFL Super Bowl on Sunday, there’s still a lot of interesting wrestling set to go down in the 48 hours beforehand.
We have highlighted nine different shows to watch for this weekend’s TV and streaming guide, including the annual GCW Jersey J-Cup, some Lucha action, a big women’s wrestling card coming out of Japan, and much more. Let’s get started.
Friday
NOAH Legacy Rise 2026 / 4 a.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
NOAH got things going for this weekend’s action this morning with Legacy Rise 2026 from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Today’s card, which you can watch now on Wrestle Universe, features opening round matchups in this year’s NOAH Jr. Tag League. Amakusa, who won last year’s league alongside Junta Miyawaki, will this time team with Black Mensore in hopes of winning once again. The tournament also features the duo of GHC National Champion Alpha Wolf alongside Team 2000X ally Kai Fujimura, as well as young upstart Daiki Odashima teaming with Daga.
The lineup also includes the debut of Ryusei, a young prospect who Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI have taken under their wing since departing NJPW last year. Those three will team up to face KENTA and the rest of his White Raven Squad allies in six-man tag action.
- Tadasuke & Jun Masaoka vs. Eita & Katsumi Inahata (NOAH Jr. Tag League)
- Atsushi Kotoge & Hi69 v. AMAKUSA & Black Mensore (NOAH Jr. Tag League)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network
While we learned on Monday that Roman Reigns will use his 2026 men’s Royal Rumble victory to face CM Punk at Wrestlemania this year, we still don’t know which champion women’s Rumble winner Liv Morgan wants to face. However, it’s expected that she will appear on tonight’s episode of Smackdown from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where we might get some more clarity on her intentions.
Not much has been confirmed for today’s Smackdown card just yet, although we also know that a matchup numerous weeks in the making between Shinsuke Nakamura and MFT representative Tama Tonga will also take place as part of the three-hour presentation on the USA Network.
- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tama Tonga
- Liv Morgan to appear
GCW Jersey J-Cup 2026 Night 1 / 8 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+
One of GCW’s biggest weekends of the year has arrived. The annual Jersey J-Cup, a massive two-night tournament featuring some of the top U.S. independent names, will go down this weekend from the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey.
20 men and women will begin their tournament quest on Friday night, competing as part of the single-elimination bracket. Tonight’s winners will advance to Saturday’s card, where the quarters, semis, and finals will all take place on the same lineup. This year’s tournament includes numerous stand-out indie acts, like Jonathan Gresham, the U.K.’s Man Like DeReiss, ROH talent Billie Starkz, ex-NXT wrestler Oro, and AEW talent Adam Priest. I think some really solid in-ring action could emerge out of these two nights.
While Friday’s card was also expected to feature the soon-to-retire Tiger Mask facing The Dynamite Kid, that bout was unfortunately scrapped earlier this week after the Japanese star was hit with a personal emergency. However, non-tournament action still notably features a steel cage clash between 1 Called Manders and Mad Dog Connelly, which could be a banger.
The best indie action this weekend is undoubtedly at GCW, and a subscription to TrillerTV+ will give you access to it all, starting with this lineup:
- Travis Williams vs. Griffin McCoy vs. Joe Lando vs. Vengador vs. Manny Lo vs. ??? (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Jonathan Gresham vs. Adam Priest (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Erick Stevens vs. Charles Mason (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Jordan Oliver vs. Alec Price (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Oro vs. Man Like DeReiss (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Judas Icarus vs. Darian Bengston (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- KJ Orso vs. Terry Yaki (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Billie Starkz vs. Ryan Clancy (Jersey J-Cup Opening Round)
- Black Tiger vs. The Dynamite Kid
- 1 Called Manders vs. Mad Dog Connelly (Steel Cage Match)
CMLL Viernes Espectacular / 9:30 p.m. ET / Youtube
Some more CMLL x AEW matches will take place as part of Friday’s Arena Mexico card. Before Johnny TV (or in this case Johnny Consejo) goes one-on-one with Soberano Jr., the MxM Collection duo of Mansoor and Mason Madden will challenge Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja for the CMLL World Tag Team Championships. The night will be headlined by a stacked six-man tag match, with Templario, Neon, and the recently returned Flip Gordon meeting Barbaro Cavernario, Averno and Hechicero.
If you get a paid subscription to CMLL’s Youtube channel, you’ll be able to catch all of tonight’s show live.

STARDOM Supreme Fight in Osaka 2026 / 1 a.m. ET / PPV
Arguably the biggest event out of Japan this weekend is from the prominent Joshi brand STARDOM, which will present “Supreme Fight” from EDION Arena Osaka on Saturday night.
The most important match of the evening will see Saya Kamitani make her first major title appearance in over a month, defending her World of STARDOM Championship against Starlight Kid. After a big 12 months, which saw her win Tokyo Sport’s MVP award for 2025 and wrestle as part of NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 20 lineup, Kamitani announced an absence from in-ring action.
While her time away ended earlier than expected, returning to the ring only 20 days after her break was announced, this weekend marks her first-ever one-on-one meeting since then. She’ll try to get past a veteran in Starlight Kid, who will be trying to begin her first-ever run with the title.
The pay-per-view lineup has a few other prominent matchups, including Maki Itoh’s first-ever singles appearance since officially joining the STARDOM roster earlier this year, meeting Aya Sakura. The card also has faction war between Empress Nexus Venus and Mi Vida Loca, a first-ever one-on-one clash between Konami and Ami Sourei with gold on the line, and more.
For the price of 4,400 yen (roughly $28 USD), here’s what STARDOM is offering on PPV this weekend:
- Yuna Mizumori vs. Momo Kohgo vs. Lady C vs. Maya Fukuda vs. Azusa Inaba
- Hinan, Tomoka Inaba & Ranna Yagami vs. Sayaka Kurara, Anne Kanaya & Kikyo Furusawa
- Fuwa-chan vs. Rina
- Maki Itoh vs. Aya Sakura
- Saya Iida & Yuria Hime vs. Natsupoi & Saori Anou vs. AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Hazuki & X
- Syuri vs. Saki Kashima
- Maika, HANAKO, Xena, Wakana Tsukiyama & Rian vs. Suzuki Suzu, Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki & Iron Akira
- Tora Natsuko & Ruaka vs. Hanan & Bea Priestley (Goddess of STARDOM Championships)
- Konami vs. Ami Sourei (Wonder of STARDOM Championship)
- Saya Kamitani vs. Starlight Kid (World of STARDOM Championship)
GCW Jersey J-Cup 2026 Night 2 / 5 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+
At an earlier start time of 5 p.m. on Saturday, the second night of Jersey J-Cup action will go live on TrillerTV+. Along with the final three rounds of tournament action scheduled to take place, the lineup will see NJPW’s Gabe Kidd team with Mad Dog Connelly to face Joey Janela and The Dynamite Kid.
If you want something to watch before Collision airs later on Saturday, this is some solid late-afternoon action.
- Joey Janela & The Dynamite Kid vs. Gabe Kidd & Mad Dog Connelly
- The Jersey J-Cup Continues
AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT
AEW has loaded up a taped edition of Collision for Saturday evening. In what will likely be the biggest matchup of the night, Tommaso Ciampa will defend his TNT Championship for the first time when he faces not just Roderick Strong, but also Claudio Castagnoli in a three-way bout. All three men are coming off solid performances: Ciampa dethroning Mark Briscoe last week, and Castagnoli & Strong facing off as part of a Collision episode last month.
The card will also see The Young Bucks and Gates of Agony face off with the winning team getting into a #1 contenders match for the tag titles next weekend, Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir in action ahead of their high-stakes tag match in Australia later this month, Kris Statlander announcing the stipulation for her upcoming title rematch against Thekla, a chaotic eight-man parking lot brawl, and more. As per usual, Collision is jam-packed on Saturday night:
- Kris Statlander to appear
- Kevin Knight vs. Scorpio Sky
- Dante Martin & Zayda Steel vs. Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir
- Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona vs. Nick Jackson & Matt Jackson (Winner competes in next week’s #1 contenders match)
- Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, Eddie Kingston & Ortiz vs. Big Bill, Bryan Keith, James Drake & Zack Gibson (Parking Lot Fight)
- Tommaso Ciampa vs. Roderick Strong vs. Claudio Castagnoli (TNT Championship)
Before we go… A few other shows worth noting:
- West Coast Pro’s Bay Area Brawl will take place in Oakland, California on Saturday, with tons of notable talents in action. AEW’s Lee Moriarty, recent WWE tryout attendee Starboy Charlie, fast-rising women’s talent Gabby Forza and ex-NJPW star Royce Isaacs are all part of the lineup. Oh, and it’s all free to watch live! If you don’t want to open the wallet but still want to see some quality indie wrestling this weekend, West Coast Pro is worth checking out. (Youtube)
- Last week, we wrote in the column that House of Glory would stream their Los Angeles debut, City of Angels, on TrillerTV+. That stacked indie card unfortunately didn’t go live on the service due to technical difficulties. However, for those who are still interested in catching the show a week later, HOG has announced that they will air a taping of the event at 11 p.m. ET tonight. With matchups like Andrade El Idolo vs. The Amazing Red and Zilla Fatu vs. Willie Mack, it’s certainly still worth considering tuning into this weekend! (TrillerTV+)
- The latest episode of AAA on FOX this Saturday at 9 p.m. ET will feature a four-way Rey de Reyes qualifier, with El Grande Americano, Rey Fenix, Dragon Lee and Octagon Jr. facing off. The show will also see Chelsea Green and Ethan Page defend their mixed tag titles against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana, and Dominik Mysterio will make an appearance as well. (Youtube)
