El Grande American Qualifies for Rey de Reyes
The main event was absolutely electric at the Auditorio José María Arteaga, where the audience was red hot for the entire match.
Earlier in the show, Ludwig Kaiser (under the El Grande Americano mask) was handcuffed backstage, and Chad Gable took his spot in the four-way match and ended up winning. The cliffhanger is whether Gable’s version qualifies, or Kaiser, who was scheduled for the match.
The match was excellent, with a fourteen-minute showcase for these four in front of an amazing audience. There were frequent cutaways to Kaiser trying to get help to break free from the locker room.
Dragon Lee used the Styles Clash on Gable, so he might be adopting the move of his former tag partner. Gable hit double Germans to Octagon Jr. & Fenix and then hit Lee with an insane belly-to-belly, where Lee flew into the corner. Gable applied the ankle lock to Fenix, but it was broken by a 450 splash by Octagon Jr.
Fenix hit the Mexican Muscle Buster and had it won, but Gable yanked him off. Gable loaded his mask and struck Lee and Octagon Jr. Gable hit a swan dive head butt and pinned Octagon Jr.
As Gable celebrated, Kaiser ran to the ring with a broken handcuff and chased Gable away.
You should definitely check this match out between the four guys and this amazing atmosphere.
New Mixed Tag Champions
Ethan Page & Chelsea Green were scheduled to defend the titles against Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice, but Green called Page to inform him she’s at home and revealed a walking boot.
Green posted a photo indicating she is injured:
The AUDACITY of @luchalibreaaa to throw @OfficialEGO into a match like that after I almost ended my career on Smackdown last night from a near fatal fall 🤬🤬🤬🤬

So, La Hiedra took her spot, which made sense given the love triangle among Iguana, Vice, and La Hiedra.
Vice did have her hand wrapped to sell Kelani Jordan’s attack on NXT, and it was noted during the match when Hiedra attacked the injured hand. Page serves as a great base for Iguana and works very well with him. Hiedra tried to kiss Iguana, who turned her down and pulled out Yesca. Page took Yesca, and after he was yanked off the apron, Hiedra turned around into a spinning wheel kick by Vice, and they won the titles.
It felt very abrupt to take the belts off Page & Green, and doing so when you just did a big injury angle with Vice this past week.
Dominik’s Hair
The show began with Dirty Dom appearing in Queretaro and cutting a promo about taking the Mega Championship to new heights on Raw and carrying with him when he beat John Cena. He took credit for AAA being on Fox and not Dorian Roldan.
El Ojo appeared and they got loads of heat and amplified when El Hijo del Vikingo called Puebla the best city in Mexico where Rey de Reyes will be. Vikingo proposed that Dominik put his hair on the line at Rey de Reyes, which makes minimal sense when it’s Vikingo going for the title and not vice versa. He’s giving Dom two weeks to consider the offer, and they’ll have a contract signing on the February 21 episode.
Next Week
