Writing this column each week, for me, is a reminder of how diverse, worldwide, and different wrestling can be on any given day.
Within a 72-hour timespan, the industry offers high-level in-ring entertainment from all around the world, presented in different styles and flavors this weekend. I’ll admit it up front: This weekend is without a singular, huge, “You can’t miss this” card. But between the 10 different shows we picked out, there’s something for everybody coming up soon. Here’s a rundown of what to expect this weekend, and where you can watch it all:
Friday
House of Glory: No Turning Back / 7 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+
After their debut show in Los Angeles last month, House of Glory will return to its hometown of New York City today for “No Turning Back.” While tonight’s lineup on TrillerTV+ includes some big names, including Andrade El Idolo, Private Party and the fast-rising women’s talent Gabby Forza, most attention will be on AEW World Champion MJF facing Zilla Fatu in the main event.
The rare indy appearance from MJF will see him make his House of Glory debut, facing one of the brand’s hottest names in 26-year-old Fatu. MJF said in the lead-up that he will prove that Fatu is nothing more than a “nepo baby.” How will Fatu fare against AEW’s top champ?
- Private Party in action
- Gabby Forza vs. Amiira Sahar
- Charles Mason vs. Andrade El Idolo (House of Glory Championship)
- MJF vs. Zilla Fatu (AEW World Championship)
WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / SyFy
There’s just one spot left in each Elimination Chamber match for Smackdown wrestlers, and those slots will be filled as part of tonight’s live broadcast from the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
The men’s tournament will see a trio of prominent midcard Smackdown names battle it out for their ticket the Chicago Chamber: United States champ Carmelo Hayes, past world champ Damian Priest and recent call-up Trick Williams will square off. The matchup will be a reunion of sorts for Hayes and Williams, who partnered together as “Trick Melo Gang” before their split in NXT.
The women’s side of the Elimination Chamber qualifiers will include Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, and Kiana James in action. Personally, after seeing the performance James turned in at the Royal Rumble last month, I’m looking forward to what she can do in this matchup.
Important note: Although Smackdown typically airs on the USA Network, it will instead be on the Syfy Channel due to ongoing coverage of the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics. Smackdown will return to its normal home next weekend.
- Oba Femi vs. Kit Wilson
- Carmelo Hayes vs. Damian Priest vs. Trick Williams (Elimination Chamber Qualifier)
- Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax vs. Kiana James (Elimination Chamber Qualifier)
Prestige Roseland XIII: The End / 10 p.m. ET / Youtube
Prestige Wrestling, a Portland-based promotion which quickly became one of the scene’s most popular independent brands, will close up shop this weekend. Ending a run which started back in 2017 and included over 70 events in total, Prestige will return to the Roseland Theater for its last-ever show tonight.
Prestige has loaded up the card with a solid lineup of independent acts for Friday night, making this a great send-off program for the brand. If you want to show some love to the company during their final show, you’ll be able to do so by tuning in on a free Youtube stream this evening.
- Roseland Rumble
- Brooke Havok vs. Haley Dylan
- C4 vs. Los Suavecitos vs. Amerikan Gunz
- Alan Angels vs. Travis Williams
- Ryan Clancy vs. ???

Saturday
wXw Dead End / 1 p.m. ET / TrillerTV+ & Youtube
Germany’s wXw will be live on Saturday afternoon with “Dead End,” a card full of notable names from Europe and beyond. While the undercard features tons of talented wrestlers, like TNA’s Dani Luna, the cult following tag duo of Cowboy Way as well as viral star Ricky Sosa, the most notable part of this card is the return of Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI.
Making their second-ever wXw appearance, the ex-NJPW duo will challenge reigning tag champs Laurance Roman and Nick Schreier in the main event. Will the Los Tranquilos de Japon duo add to their belt collection, which also includes NOAH’s GHC Tag Team Championships? Or will The Grind be able to overcome their fourth-ever challengers? Those who subscribe to TrillerTV+, or are paid subscribers to wXw’s Youtube will be able to watch live and find out.
- Maddy Morgan vs. Stephanie Maze
- Planet Gojira & Elijah Blum vs. Cowboy Way & Ahura
- Jane Nero vs. Dani Luna
- Peter Tihanyi vs. Dieter Scwartz vs. Zoltan vs. Bobby Gunns
- Dennis Dullnig vs. M4 (wXw Shotgun Championship)
- Ricky Sosa vs. Brandon Bandz (wXw European Championship)
- Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI vs. Laurance Roman & Nick Schreier (wXw World Tag Team Championships)
AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT
A return and two title matchups have been confirmed for a live edition of AEW Collision this weekend from the Frontwave Arena in Oceanside, California.
Wrestling for the first time since July 2025, Thunder Rosa will make her in-ring return on Saturday against Julia Hart from the Triangle of Madness. After announcing her comeback on Wednesday’s Dynamite, Rosa stated her intention to try and get revenge for Kris Statlander, who was dethroned by Triangle of Madness faction leader Thekla just over a week ago.
The show will also feature trios title action, with The Demand trying to end the reign of Hangman Page and JetSpeed. CMLL will be represented on the show, with Claudio Castagnoli putting his world title on the line against Josh Alexander, who coincidentally will be coming back to America after an appearance on a CMLL card the night before.
- Thunder Rosa vs. Julia Hart
- Hangman Adam Page, Kevin Knight & Speedball Bailey vs. Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona (AEW World Trios Championships)
- Claudio Castagnoli vs. Josh Alexander (CMLL World Heavyweight Championship)
Sunday
NJPW x CMLL Fantastica Mania 2026 Night 3 / 1 a.m. ET / NJPW World
Some of the best names in Lucha Libre will be in action on early Sunday morning as part of CMLL’s annual Fantastica Mania tour alongside NJPW. The tour will come to the ATC Hall in Osaka, Japan on Sunday, one of the few events from the stretch which will be livestreamed on NJPW World.
CMLL, which has been a hot product both domestically and in the eyes of many international viewers, is offering up some great matchups as part of Sunday’s card. I’m personally really looking forward to a three-way, which will see Hechicero, Templario and Soberano Jr. facing off. However, I can’t ignore the fact that the card will have the legendary El Sky Team duo of Mascara Dorada and Mistico up against Futuro and Valiente Jr. in the main event.
This is certainly one of the cards I’m looking forward to the most out of everything to consider this weekend:
- Hijo de Stuka Jr. & Shoma Kato vs. Tatsuya Matsumoto & Tiger Mask
- OKUMURA, Satoshi Kojima & Ultimo Guerrero vs. SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi
- Master Wato, Ryusuke Taguchi, El Desperado, Masatora Yasuda & Stigma vs. Bone Soldier Jr., Daiki Nagai, Shingo Takagi, Titan & Yota Tsuji
- Hechicero vs. Soberano Jr. vs. Templario
- Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. vs. Averno & Magnus (Fantastica Mania 2026 Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final)
- Futuro & Valiente Jr. vs. Mascara Dorada & Mistico (Fantastica Mania 2026 Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final)
MARIGOLD New Year Golden Garden / 9 p.m. ET / Wrestle Universe
Monday is The Emperor’s Birthday in Japan, a national holiday, which means many of the country’s top brands will be offering up live entertainment. While most events happening on that day from NJPW, NOAH and others will take place on early Monday morning in the west, we decided to highlight MARIGOLD’s card since it translates to a perfect prime-time start of Sunday evening for North American viewers.
New Year Golden Garden, a live event from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, will see one of the brand’s fastest rising stars, Victoria Yuzuki, defend her United National Championship against Chika Goto. While Yuzuki hasn’t moved up to the brand’s main title picture just yet, it’s clear that they want her to eventually become one of the brand’s top stars. And, watching the types of performances she is turning in consistently, it’s easy to see why they want her in that position. Yuzuki is 21 and just in her third year as a wrestler, but she’s one to watch.
Earlier on the card, MARIGOLD will crown its first-ever trios champions, with the vacant 3D titles on the line. The teams competing on Sunday fought their way through an eight-team tournament for the title shot this weekend.
- Komomo Minami & Yuuka Yamazaki vs. Seri Yamaoka & Shinno
- Nao Ishikawa vs. Megaton vs. Nagisa Tachibana
- Utami Hayashishita & Kouki Amarei vs. Syoko Koshino & Hummingbird
- Miku Aono vs. CHIAKI
- Mayu Iwatani vs. Rin
- Mai Sakurai, Natsumi Showzuki & Erina Yamanaka vs. Nagisa Nozaki, Misa Matsui & Rea Seto (Vacant MARIGOLD 3D Trios Championships)
- Victoria Yuzuki vs. Chika Goto (MARIGOLD United National Championship)
A few more options before we get out of here…
- While most of CMLL’s top players are over in Japan this week for Fantastica Mania, there’s still action worth checking out in Mexico, too. This evening’s Arena Mexico card, available to all top-tier paid subscribers on CMLL’s Youtube page, includes a four-way main event featuring Angel de Oro, Neon, and AEW’s Daniel Garcia & Johnny TV. Earlier in the night, Josh Alexander will put his Maple Leaf Pro title on the line when he faces Esfinge. Whether it be in Mexico or Japan, there’s lots of great lucha to catch this weekend. (Youtube)
- Laredo Kid’s more than 400-day reign with the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line as part of Saturday night’s AAA broadcast, meeting TJ Perkins as part of a pre-taped broadcast from Queretaro, Mexico. The matchup is Perkins’ second appearance since returning to WWE programming earlier this year as part of the AAA roster. (Youtube)
- Sunday’s lineup from New Jersey-based Expect The Unexpected (ETU) Wrestling’s “By Any Means” card has one of the most intriguing matchups I have seen as of late in the main event, as TNA World Champion Mike Santana will go head-to-head with Minoru Suzuki. That’s an interesting first-time matchup I wanted to highlight before we got out of here (Independentwrestling.tv)
