Rey Mysterio is still recovering from an injury to his ribs nearly two months ago.
Mysterio spoke with Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez and spoke about the injury he sustained on the January 26 episode of Raw in Toronto.
Mysterio tells Hernandez that he fractured his ribs on the left and right side, and “So, those take a little time to heal, but on the way up.”
During his match with Austin Theory, it was evident that Mysterio was hurt before the ending of the match, which Theory won after hitting a stomp. During a post-match beatdown by The Vision involving Penta and Dragon Lee, Mysterio didn’t participate as he was being tended.
Despite the injury, Mysterio traveled to Saudi Arabia after the show and participated in the Royal Rumble match on January 31, but has not wrestled since.
