Callum Newman and Shota Umino advance to New Japan Cup semifinals

The New Japan Cup semifinals were officially set on Tuesday.

Callum Newman and Shota Umino joined Yuya Uemura and Oleg Boltin in the semifinals, which will be on Friday in Aore Nagoka. Newman defeated Hirooki Goto after hitting him with a low blow, and Prince’s Curse, and Shota Umino defeated Zack Sabre Jr. after landing a lariat followed by Second Chapter.

Newman and Umino will face each other in their respective semifinal, and Uemura and Oleg will face each other in the second semifinal matchup. The New Japan Cup finals will be on March 21.
