Santos Escobar is expected to undergo surgery following Rey de Reyes this past weekend.
Fightful Select reports that Escobar injured his triceps this past January during an NXT live event in Nashville, Tennessee, against El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.
Since that match, Escobar wrestled once on the February 28 AAA tapings in Monterrey to qualify for Rey de Reyes and participated in this past Saturday’s four-way match in Puebla.
The outlet reports that Escobar’s injury worsened during the Rey de Reyes match will have surgery for a torn triceps this Thursday, sidelining him for an indefinite period.
