Daniel Moody, the son of the late Bill Moody a.k.a. Paul Bearer, has died.
Moody had worked as an independent wrestler under the name DJ Pringle, and the news of his death was released by Steve Stasiak of Book Pro Wrestlers on Tuesday.
His father came up in the Gulf Coast region and gained attention as Percy Pringle III in multiple territories, including World Class Championship Wrestling during the peak of the territory. In 1990, he was hired by the World Wrestling Federation and transformed into Paul Bearer as the iconic manager for The Undertaker shortly after his introduction at the Survivor Series.
Bill Moody died in March 2013, and his death became a focus of The Undertaker’s ongoing program with CM Punk in the lead-up to that year’s WrestleMania 29 match.
In 2014, Bearer was inducted posthumously into the WWE Hall of Fame with Daniel Moody and brother Michael inducting their father. Later that year, Michael passed away at the age of 34.
Daniel Moody was 39 years old.
