WWE Unreal & UFC receive Sports Emmy Award nominations

Nominations for the Sports Emmy Awards were released on Wednesday, with WWE Unreal up for several awards.

WWE Unreal, which is a production of Skydance Sports, NFL Films & Omaha Productions, received three nominations on Wednesday. The reality series is nominated for Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary Series, Outstanding Sports Graphic Design, and Outstanding Sports Editing – Long Form.

The first category for Outstanding Serialized Sports Doc Series includes Quarterback, Full Court Press, Formula 1: Drive to Survive, The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox, and Built in Birmingham: Brady & The Blues among the nominees.

For long-form sports editing, WWE Unreal is nominated alongside American Thunder: NASCAR at Le Mans, America’s Team: The Gamble and His Cowboys, Butterfly in a Blizzard, Celtics City, Saquon, and We Beat the Dream Team.

The UFC also received a nomination for Outstanding Edited Sports Event Coverage for “The Walk” involving Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira from UFC 317 last June.

The Sports Emmy Awards will stream on Tuesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. ET on TheEmmys.com.
