Two matches were made official for WrestleMania 42 on WWE SmackDown.

Sami Zayn won the United States Championship after defeating Carmelo Hayes. Zayn will defend the title at WrestleMania 42 against Trick Williams, who helped Zayn win the match.

There was a segment before the match, where Nick Aldis told Williams he would be at WrestleMania. Zayn wasn’t given a WrestleMania match, so he answered Hayes’ open challenge to earn a spot at Las Vegas.

Also on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu went face-to-face after throwing each other off a steel structure. Aldis intervened before the pair could fight and said they would face off in an unsanctioned match, specifically saying the referee was only there to make the count or stop the match due to a submission.

Below is the updated card for WrestleMania 42. The match order and main events for both nights have not been made official.
