It’s a quieter week on the professional wrestling schedule, with promotions of many different sizes gearing up for their Wrestlemania weekend programming next month. But one thing remains the same, no matter the week: There’s always wrestling on. We’ve picked out six shows for you to consider as part of your media digest this weekend, along with three other honorable mentions. Let’s dig in.

Friday

ROH x MLP Global Wars Canada / 7 p.m. ET / TrillerTV

Scott D’Amore’s upstart promotion Maple Leaf Pro will partner with Ring of Honor for the first time ever on Friday night, working together to put on a special card at the St. Clair College SportsPlex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. In a callback to the name of a tour ROH did many years ago, the event is called “Global Wars: Canada.”

Maple Leaf Pro has done a solid job at loading up all of its cards since D’Amore relaunched the brand back in 2024. With the help of ROH, this one is no exception. There are tons of talent from all around the wrestling scene represented on tonight’s card, with names coming from AEW, NOAH, CMLL, the Canadian indies, the American indies, and so much more.

The event will see Maple Leaf Pro crown its first-ever tag champs with a four-way bout featuring The Good Brothers, the Gates of Agony, the unexpected team of Kaito Kiyomiya and Bishop Dyer, and the local underdog duo of Bryce Hanson and Sheldon Jean. I’m personally also looking forward to the six-way scramble, which has Barbaro Cavernario, Ace Austin, and a personal favorite of mine, Michael Oku.

The event will be available to watch live on TrillerTV via pay-per-view. A replay of the show will be available to ROH HonorClub subscribers after the show wraps.

  • Jake Crist vs. Brent Banks vs. Barbaro Cavernario vs. Michael Allen Richard Clark vs. Ace Austin vs. Michael Oku (Six-Way Scramble)
  • Eddie Kingston & Ortiz vs. Adam Priest & Tommy Billington
  • Bhupinder Gujjar, Mascara Dorada & Psycho Mike vs. Blake Christian, Jay Lethal & Lee Johnson
  • Ricochet vs. Rich Swann
  • Red Velvet vs. Alice Crowley (ROH Women’s World Television Championship)
  • Deonna Purrazzo vs. Gisele Shaw (ROH Women’s Pure Championship)
  • Bishop Dyer & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Bryce Hansen & Mo Jabari vs. Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona (Vacant Maple Leaf Pro Tag Team Championships)
  • Rohan Raja vs. Stu Grayson (PWA Champion’s Grail Championship)
  • Athena vs. Taylor Rising (ROH Women’s World Championship)

WWE Friday Night Smackdown / 8 p.m. ET / USA Network

The viper has been loose on Friday Night Smackdown for the past two weeks, and it seems he’s planning on causing terror once again tonight. Randy Orton, the opponent for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania, has unleashed brutal attacks on WWE’s blue brand as of late, taking out the aforementioned Rhodes and also Matt Cardona. WWE is promoting Orton’s appearance tonight at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is teasing that he might strike again.

Also on tonight’s Smackdown, artist Jelly Roll will return to the ring for the first time since Summerslam 2025 to face Kit Wilson in a grudge match. Women’s tag action will also go down, as The Bella Twins will meet former champs Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

  • Randy Orton to appear
  • Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair vs. Nikki Bella & Brie Bella
  • Jacob Fatu vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Jelly Roll vs. Kit Wilson
  • Giulia vs. Tiffany Stratton

TNA Sacrifice / 8 p.m. ET / TNA+

The biggest event stateside this weekend is from TNA, which will head to the Alario Center in Westwego, Louisiana for Sacrifice.

The main event of the night will see TNA World Champion Mike Santana put his title up against Steve Maclin, who talked his way into a shot against the champ shortly after getting booted from the company in a Feast or Fired match. After many weeks of heated back and forth between these two, the time has finally arrived to see if Maclin can regain TNA’s top title, which he hasn’t held in nearly three years.

On the women’s side of the card, the top bout sees Dani Luna attempt to take the Knockouts title off NXT’s Arianna Grace. This match was a long time in the making for Luna, who was scheduled to challenge for the belt back in January, only to have that opportunity taken away due to visa issues.

The match I’m most interested in seeing here is Leon Slater vs. Eric Young. Slater doesn’t know how to have a bad match, and could put together something fun with a veteran name like Young.

  • Ryan Nemeth vs. BDE (Pre-show)
  • Tessa Blanchard vs. Jody Threat (Pre-show)
  • Elijah & Home Town Man vs. Frankie Kazarian & AJ Francis
  • Trey Miguel & Jada Stone vs. Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz
  • Moose vs. Eddie Edwards
  • Jeff Hardy & Vincent vs. Cedric Alexander & Brian Myers
  • Mara Sadé vs. Elayna Black (No DQ)
  • Leon Slater vs. Eric Young (TNA X-Division Championship)
  • Arianna Grace vs. Dani Luna (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
  • Mike Santana vs. Steve Maclin (TNA World Championship)

Saturday

Maple Leaf Pro: Uprising / 7 p.m. ET / TrillerTV

One night after Maple Leaf Pro co-promotes a show alongside ROH, the brand will return on Saturday evening with another show from Windsor, Ontario, Uprising. While no matchups have been confirmed for the show, we know many of the top names from Friday’s card will be present. This includes: Ricochet, Mascara Dorada, The Good Brothers, Barbaro Cavernario, and Bishop Dyer.

AEW Collision / 8 p.m. ET / TNT

The Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa will be treated to a live edition of AEW Collision this weekend, which we already know will feature two title matchups.

The top title bout will be a rematch from Revolution, as AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, the Divine Dominion, will face former champs the Babes of Wrath. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross had an upper hand at the pay-per-view due to an attack they unleashed against Willow Nightingale earlier that night. Will they still be able to pull out the win this time around without such a head start?

The other two matches could also be lots of fun: Kazuchika Okada and Kevin Knight will run back their Continental Classic match, and Ace Austin will go head-to-head with Tommaso Ciampa.

  • Ace Austin vs. Tommaso Ciampa
  • Kazuchika Okada vs. Kevin Knight (AEW International Championship)
  • Megan Bayne & Lena Kross vs. Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron (AEW Women’s World Championships)

Sunday

TJPW Grand Princess ’26 / 12:30 a.m. ET / Wrestle Universe

Back in Japan after a successful tour of Texas earlier this month, Joshi brand TJPW will present one of its biggest cards of the year on early Sunday morning, heading to Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo for Grand Princess 26.

The main event will see Yuki Arai attempt to begin her first-ever reign with TJPW’s top belt. To do so, she will try to take down long-time promotional ace Miu Watanabe in a first-time ever match. Considering how small TJPW’s roster is, and the fact that both of these women have been with the company for years, it’s shocking that they haven’t crossed paths in a singles bout before.

Arai has proven to be a dominant force on TJPW’s midcard, holding the International title for over 300 days and previously having a tag title run. But she has yet to break into the incredibly exclusive club of main title names that TJPW has made over the years. Is Sunday finally her chance?

AEW fans will be interested to know that Konosuke Takeshita will appear lower on the card, teaming alongside life partner Yuka Sakazaki against Hyper Misao and Super Sasadango Machine. AEW’s The IInspiration will also try to take down the “Ober Eats” tag duo of Yuki Kamifuku and Wakana Uehara as part of the midcard.

There’s a lot of other fun stuff up and down this card: MIRAI and Suzumi facing off for the first time since 2019, Joshi superstar Sareee returning to TJPW after half a decade away, an appearance from everyone’s favorite mascot, Andreza Giant Panda, and more!

  • Uta Takami vs. Shion Kanzaki
  • DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship Battle Royal
  • HIMAWARI & Shino Suzuki vs. Toga & Ren Konatsu
  • Shoko Nakajima, Yuki Aino & Haru Kazashiro vs. Aja Kong, Max The Impaler & Pom Harajuku
  • Mizuki vs. Andreza Giant Panda
  • Miyu Yamashita & Arisu Endo vs. Sareee & Takumi Iroha
  • Yuka Sakazaki & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Hyper Misao & Super Sasadango Machine
  • MIRAI vs. Suzume (TJPW International Princess Championship)
  • Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara vs. Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee (TJPW Princess Tag Team Championships)
  • Miu Watanabe vs. Yuki Arai (TJPW Princess of Princess Championship)

Three more options before we go…

  • CMLL has another solid lineup set for this Friday in Arena Mexico, a show topped by trios tag action, with Atlantis Jr., Neon, and Esfinge facing Soberano Jr., Angel de Oro and Niebla Roja. The event will be Soberano Jr.’s first appearance at Arena Mexico after the odd sequence earlier this month, when he was mysteriously pulled last-minute from a show. (CMLL Youtube)
  • The third and final week of AAA’s 2026 Rey de Reyes event will air on Saturday night. The one-hour broadcast will include a four-way Cruiserweight title match which could be some flippy fun, as Laredo Kid, TJ Perkins, Dragon Lee and Jack Cartwheel will all share the same ring. Also, there’s gonna be an in-ring segment where El Hijo del Vikingo calls out Penta. (Youtube)
  • NJPW will kick off its Road To Sakura Genesis tour with shows on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Both nights this weekend will be headlined by massive United Empire vs. Unbound Co. tag bouts, as the factions will be represented in next month’s Sakura Genesis main event when IWGP Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji and New Japan Cup winner Callum Newman face off.
