An alleged stabbing occurred over the weekend at a Ruthless Pro Wrestling show in Illinois, with several details emerging from those in attendance.

RPW ran its OMEGA event at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Illinois on Saturday, with reports that wrestler Mads Krule / Mads Krule Krügger was either stabbed or attempted to be stabbed by a fan in attendance.

Cultaholic has a story with comments from wrestler Lou Nixon, who shared a video of the fan being attacked after going after Krule, who was on the card.

Nixon tells the site that the fan had words with Krule before the show over the price of the wrestler’s merchandise. During Krule’s match, the fan stood in front of the wrestler and “Krule obviously didn’t break character and made him look silly, and then during the match I think, like, the guy got knocked out of his seat.”

Nixon said the fan went up to Krule after the show and challenged him to fight, and tried tackling him. Nixon believes that the fan stabbed Krule during the brawl, but that Krule didn’t realize he had been stabbed until later.

Nixon has also posted a YouTube video about the incident, which includes footage of the interaction between Krule and the fan during Krule’s entrance.

Fellow wrestler Mickie Knuckles also said that Krule was stabbed, telling Cultaholic that “the fan tackled Krule through the table…and while he had him on the ground, he stabbed him in the lower right quadrant of his abdomen. At that point, the boys saw he had a knife, so they just started lighting him up”.

However, one anonymous source tells Cultaholic that they didn’t believe Krule was actually stabbed, “I know that the fan was attacking Krule. I think the other wrestlers saw this, and they used it as a reason to attack this fan. I don’t believe that there was a knife in play. I never saw a knife, I never saw a stabbing, and I don’t believe that any of the wrestlers saw a knife. I really genuinely think that they wanted to help their friend.”

Knuckles told the site that due to a prior incident where a flying object struck a fan, police were already in the building when the post-show incident occurred.

In a response about the incident, Krule wrote that he was “fine” on Sunday afternoon.

POST Wrestling has contacted the Berwyn Police Department for further details and a possible police report.
