DIA, formerly Dragon Dia, announces departure from Dragon Gate

A longtime member of Dragon Gate announced his departure from the promotion.

DIA, formerly known as Dragon Dia, posted a statement on social media, announcing that he will leave Dragon Gate on April 1. The 27-year-old thanked everyone in Dragon Gate and the fans for their support. DIA said he would be taking time off. In a follow-up statement, DIA said he was not dealing with an injury or health issue and added that he had not yet signed with another promotion.

NJPW is currently announcing entrants for this year’s Best of the Super Juniors. DIA participated in the 2024 and 2025 tournaments and the Super Junior Tag League.

Trained by Dragon Kid, DIA debuted for Dragon Gate in 2018. He is a two-time Open the Brave Gate Champion, four-time Open the Twin Gate Champion, and two-time Open the Triangle Gate Champion.
