TNA will bring back a classic match type for Thursday Night Impact this week.
The promotion announced that Tessa Blanchard and Jody Threat will face off in a Bunkhouse match, the first time in TNA history that the match type will feature Knockouts.
For those unfamiliar, the Bunkhouse match was made famous in the early days of WCW, with Dusty Rhodes being best-known to compete in them, even in the early days of TNA when it was affiliated with the NWA. The match in the modern day essentially has been a street fight featuring a wide array of weapons.
The last Bunkhouse match in TNA history was on Sept. 9, 2021, between Karl Anderson and Rich Swann.
