AEW Collision saw an increase over last week’s Slam Dunk episode as it achieved its six-week high in viewership.
The March 28 live version from Cedar Rapids averaged 476,000 viewers and 109,000 viewers (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic on TNT and excluding viewership on HBO Max.
The overall viewership was Collision’s highest since the Grand Slam Australia special on February 14 and its best 18-49 figure since February 21.
It was slightly up from last week’s audience of 469,000 viewers, but declined from the 142,000 viewers it averaged in the demo. However, last week’s show had the lead-in from March Madness and was expected to bolster the start of the show.
The show averaged a 0.09 among adults 18-34 and 0.11 among adults 25-54.
Collision ranked 30th for the night among cable originals in overall viewership, 15th in 18-49, 14th in 18-34, and 12th in 25-54.
Cable was dominated by men’s and women’s NCAA basketball, occupying the top seven spots in prime time. Collision also aired against Major League Baseball on Fox, which topped the broadcast networks on Saturday night.
It was headlined by Kazuchika Okada defending the International title against Kevon Knight in a rematch from the Continental Classic this past December.
This week’s episode of Collision airs outside of its normal time slot with a Thursday night airing on TNT.
