Chris Jericho is back.
Returning to TV for the first time in nearly a year, inaugural AEW World Champion Chris Jericho appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite from the CanadaLife Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Jericho’s unannounced appearance was brief, hitting the ring for a quick moment on the mic: “Winnipeg! AEW! I’m home,” he said.

Jericho spent the better part of 2025 out of the spotlight in wrestling, with his last match being against Bandido at last year’s Dynasty pay-per-view.
Some predicted during his absence that Jericho might be WWE-bound, heading back to the company for the first time since 2018. But, a story in February somewhat squashed these rumors, as it was reported that Jericho was “firmly under contract,” with his AEW deal getting frozen due to time away from the ring.
It remains unclear what Jericho’s first storyline will be back from return, not setting sights on anyone or anything in particular while speaking in front of his hometown supporters in Winnipeg. But we can now say that the months-long speculation about the veteran’s next landing spot has come to an end.
