A wrestler on the Ruthless Pro Wrestling event this past weekend is disputing that a stabbing occurred involving Mads Krule.

This past weekend, multiple wrestlers on the RPW show stated that a fan stabbed wrestler Mads Krule during an altercation after the show at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Illinois.

Wrestlers Lou Nixon and Mickie Knuckles spoke with Cultaholic after the show and shared their perspectives. Nixon said that during a tackle, he believes, is when Krule “must have been shanked” and that Krule didn’t realize he had been stabbed until later. Knuckles said, “The fan tackled Krule through the table…and while he had him on the ground, he stabbed him in the lower right quadrant of his abdomen. At that point, the boys saw he had a knife, so they just started lighting him up”.

Knuckles said that cops were already at the venue due to a previous incident, although POST Wrestling has been unable to confirm that detail yet.

On Sunday, Krule tweeted, “Krule is fine” without elaborating on what happened. He did wrestle the following day on a Premier Wrestling Federation card in Pennsylvania.

In a statement from the Berwyn Police Department to POST Wrestling, they stated, “The incident in question is still being investigated. Once the totality of the records have been collected they need to be reviewed and properly redacted for release”.

An anonymous source also spoke to Cultaholic, believing the story of a stabbing was invented and said, “I never saw a knife, never saw a stabbing, and I don’t believe that any of the wrestlers saw a knife. I really genuinely think that they wanted to help their friend.”

Gregory Iron has recorded a podcast detailing his firsthand account as he was at the merchandise table and witnessed the incident.

Krule was in the second-to-last match in a death match with SHLAK, and the incident occurred “15-20 minutes” after the show when Krule and others were at the merchandise tables.

Iron acknowledges that “Krule appears to be pushed/and or tackled into a table.” Then, the wrestlers started attacking the fan, and video circulated of that portion of the attack. Iron leaves open the possibility that the fan could have stabbed him during the tackle, but added that the fan appeared to be drunk, was very slow, and asked: “Where was this knife?”

Iron detailed the attack on the fan, but at no time did he ever hear anyone mention a knife or a stabbing, and said he was stunned to read about the story the next day.

On Wednesday, another clip surfaced in which the fan is seen confronting Krule before the wrestler starts throwing punches. In that clip, there is no sign of a knife or a stabbing.

POST Wrestling has contacted Mads Krule, but has not received a response to our questions about the incident. A Freedom of Information Act request has been made to the Berwyn Police Department regarding any records attached to the incident.
