The Punk Pipebomb

WWE Raw from Houston kicked off with CM Punk cutting an in-ring promo where he said Roman Reigns hated him because he won’t trade his authenticity for approval. Punk continued, noting that he showed up despite being “an old man”, but he was not weak. He said that Roman Reigns was store-bought, plastic, and safe, and that’s why TKO sends Reigns to Jimmy Fallon.

He continued, comparing Reigns to The Rock but saying at least The Rock was a former movie star. Punk said Reigns was a “buck-toothed nepo baby who ate dog food for a weird old man”. He then turned his attention to Pat McAfee, telling him to call his agent who shoehorned him into WWE, and tell him to lower the ticket prices.

IShowSpeed ran into Danhausen backstage and begged him to lift the curse after LA Knight broke into Speed’s house. Adam Pearce approached and told him to go home. Logan Paul and Austin Theory appeared, told Speed that everyone hated him, but that he would be safe with them, and dragged him away.

LA Knight vs. Austin Theory

It was revealed that the first match of the night (and the reason The Vision dragged Speed to the ring) was LA Knight taking on Austin Theory. Knight took control early on, knocking Theory into the timekeeper’s area as the show went to commercial. Upon return, Knight became distracted by Logan Paul and Speed at ringside, and Paul shoved Speed into Knight behind the referee’s back. The Usos stopped Speed from escaping to the back as Knight went after him. In the chaos, Theory rolled up Knight with a handful of tights to get the win. After the match, The Usos went to hit the 1D, but Logan Paul pulled him to safety. A Six-Man match was made for WrestleMania with The Usos & LA Knight taking on The Vision and IShowSpeed.

Finn Balor vs. JD McDonagh

The next match on the night was former Judgment Day brethren Finn Balor and JD McDonagh going one-on-one. As Balor was making his way to the ring, he was jumped by Dominik Mysterio, and a brawl ensued. Mysterio nailed Balor with the AAA Mega Championship and followed that up with multiple chair shots. This ended the segment, and no match occurred.

An AJ Lee promo package aired, highlighting her accomplishments ahead of her match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania. After that, footage from earlier in the day aired with Michael Cole sitting down with the Intercontinental Champion. Becky Lynch immediately interrupted, and Michael Cole left. Becky claimed that AJ quit WWE because she knew that Becky would replace her. AJ said that she was proud of everything Becky has done for the business, but none of it would have happened without her.

Bayley vs. Lash Legend

Next up was Bayley taking on Lash Legend ahead of the Women’s Tag title match at WrestleMania. Legend controlled most of the early goings, and Bayley fought from underneath. Nia Jax tripped Bayley behind the referee’s back, and Lyra Valkyria went to attack when Charlotte and Alexa appeared as Bayley hit them all with a Splash on the outside. Valkyria then held Legend’s leg down during a pin attempt by Bayley, which helped Bayley pick up the win.

During the commercial, Danhausen announced he won a Slammy.

Seth Rollins Speaks

Seth Rollins was out next and said he had been waiting six months to hear the crowd sing along to his theme song. Rollins noted that there was no personal issue between him and Gunther, but he believed that Gunther entered into a business relationship with Paul Heyman. He continued, saying his mission was to reclaim his World Championship and kill The Vision. Rollins took credit for putting Brock Lesnar on a silver platter for Oba Femi, leaving Heyman to seek out Gunther. Gunther then appeared, and the two brawled at ringside as officials attempted to break it up.

Backstage, Heyman told Gunther he owed him a very big thank you. Gunther said it was personal for him with Rollins and told Heyman he owed him far more than a simple thank-you.

A Stephanie Vaquer vignette aired ahead of her match against Liv Morgan at WrestleMania.

Six-Man Match

Next was Penta teaming up with Dragon Lee and Je’Von Evans to take on Los Americanos. The match began with the three faces hitting dives on their opponents on the outside as the show went to break. As it returned, it seemed the referee barely had any interest in tags in this match, as all six men stayed mostly in the ring. After a series of high-flying moves, Je’Von Evans hit the OG Cutter on Bravo for the win.

After the match, Rey Mysterio returned and announced that he was entering the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania.

Ripley & Sky vs. Michin & B-Fab

The next match saw Rhea Ripley returning to Raw to re-team with Iyo Sky, taking on Jade Cargill’s henchwomen, Michin and B-Fab. Before the match began, an Asuka vignette aired, challenging Iyo to a match, but it was not announced for when or where.

Rhea & Iyo controlled the first segment of the match with Sky hitting a dive onto both Michin and B-Fab on the outside as the show went to commercial. After returning, Sky picked up the win by rolling up B-Fab from out of nowhere. After the match, B-Fab and Michin held Ripley back as Jade hit Iyo with a kendo stick and Jaded.

A Finn Balor vignette aired that was somehow already shot and edited after the beatdown earlier in the night. Balor alluded to the Demon being back at WrestleMania.

Judgment Day responded instantaneously, with Dom worried, and JD focused on Rey being added to the IC title match. Roxanne appeared, and Liv brought them up to attack Finn even though he was the one who brought Roxanne into Judgment Day. Before they could go any further, Stephanie Vaquer attacked from behind and left them both lying.

Contract Signing

The main event segment of the evening was the contract signing between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar, featuring Triple H and Adam Pearce.
