A Wrestlemania tradition will carry on as part of next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown.
The Andre the Giant Battle Royal, a match which WWE has hosted during Wrestlemania weekend since 2014, will take place as part of next Friday’s episode of Smackdown from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
While the Battle Royal initially started as a part of Wrestlemania itself, it has transformed into a Smackdown before Mania segment in more recent years. Past winners include Carmelo Hayes, Bronson Reed, Jey Uso, and Bobby Lashley. No entrants have been confirmed for this year’s match thus far.
Along with the battle royal, it was confirmed that the MFTs and Wyatt Sicks will face off in an eight-man Street Fight next week. It’s expected that the match will feature Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy against any four-man combination of Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, Tama Tonga, Talla Tonga & Tonga Loa. The MFTs and Wyatts have been feuding on-and-off for months.
It was also promoted that wrestlers from both Raw and Smackdown will appear as part of next week’s show.
