Rickey Shane Page, part of the new ownership of Ruthless Pro Wrestling, spoke about the recent incident at the Berwyn Eagles Hall in Illinois.
Page wrestled in the main event of the RPW show in Berwyn after Mads Krule’s match with SHLAK. It was alleged by two wrestlers on the show that Krule was stabbed by a fan after the show, which was the reason the fan was attacked and thrown out of the building. Footage of the incident shows no visible sign of a weapon.

Page appeared on Blvd Bullies and was asked first at the beginning of the interview whether wrestler Mads Krule was stabbed at the Ruthless show on March 28 in Berwyn:
I don’t know. It was after the show, I was completely covered in blood and glass. I set my merch up on the ring, just because there was no room at the merch tables. I just heard a “kerfuffle”, you know, I heard some “shuffling”. I saw hands being thrown, where they were landed, I don’t know. Then, that person was escorted out of the building by security at Berwyn.
Later on, Krule was like, “Oh, I’m bleeding really bad, I don’t know what from”, that’s all I know (laughs). Mind you, he had a death match with SHLAK, and that involved a lot of light tubes, and he might have had a cut he forgot about. But I don’t know, I wasn’t over there, I didn’t see it. That guy was being an asshole all night, getting in people’s faces and stuff, so like, I’m not surprised that happened, but I don’t know that’s what you get for messing with a bunch of wrestlers and a bunch of dudes that don’t play like that.
Game Changer Wrestling was recently informed that they had lost an upcoming date at the Berwyn Eagles Club and that the venue will not host pro wrestling events after this month.
GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale cited the RPW incident as the reason for the venue to eliminate pro wrestling shows and stated, “This was directly caused by an incident (the fake stabbing) that took place at another promotions event which has caused the town, lawyers & police to be involved. It’s truly a shame to see the Berwyn Eagles and 20+ years of Chicago wrestling history come to an end like this”.
The Berwyn Eagles Club has hosted pro wrestling shows for over two decades and was the longtime home of SHIMMER.
POST Wrestling is still awaiting records of the investigation from the Berwyn Police Department.
