Santos Escobar has undergone a setback following an initial operation for a torn triceps.

Escobar has been out of action since AAA’s Rey de Reyes in March, where he wrestled in the four-way final with El Grande Americano, La Parks, and Original El Grande Americano. Escobar had surgery on the triceps with an issue with the ulnar bone.

On Wednesday, the WWE performer posted an update and mentioned a recent “hiccup”, which will force Santos to undergo another procedure to fix the injury.

Escobar’s contract with WWE expired last fall, but days later, he signed a new deal with the promotion. He didn’t return to the ring until January and was working with AAA upon his return.
