AEW’s top women’s title will be on the line tomorrow night as part of this year’s Collision Spring BreakThru lineup.
Women’s World Champion Thekla will put her title on the line against Alex Windsor during the next episode of AEW Collision, which is airing on Thursday night this week. The match is one of five segments set to air on the show, which is being taped this evening in Everett, Washington.
Windsor called out Thekla on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, targeting the champ shortly after her Brawling Birds teammate Jamie Hayter lost to her at the brand’s recent Dynasty pay-per-view event.
The matchup will see Windsor attempt to earn her first AEW title. She would become a double champ if successful, as she currently holds the NJPW STRONG Women’s title as well.
Also on tomorrow’s card, Washington’s own Nick Wayne will battle with AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley in a title eliminator. If Wayne can beat Moxley or last the bout’s entire 20-minute time limit, he’ll get an opportunity at the belt sometime in the future. The match is notably Wayne’s first AEW TV match since returning from injury in February.
Other matchups include The Young Bucks taking on Zachary Wentz and Myron Reed of The Rascalz, as well as Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander competing in tag action.
The sole non-wrestling segment billed thus far is an appearance from Adam Copeland, speaking for the first time since he lost to FTR alongside Christian Cage at Dynasty.
Here’s the full lineup thus far:
- Adam Copeland to appear
- Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander in tag action
- Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson vs. Zachary Wentz & Myron Reed
- Jon Moxley vs. Nick Wayne (AEW Continental Championship Eliminator)
- Thekla vs. Alex Windsor (AEW Women’s World Championship)
