AEW is hoping to present its second-ever Grand Slam: Mexico card in 2026, although it’s likely to happen later in the calendar year than when the 2025 show took place.
Dave Meltzer wrote in his latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the next Grand Slam: Mexico card is currently being planned, but will happen “later in the year than June.”
AEW visited the legendary Arena Mexico in June 2025 for the first-ever Grand Slam: Mexico, a card presented in collaboration with CMLL.
President Tony Khan has since made it clear recently that he was interested in a follow-up show, saying at the Revolution post-event scrum last month that he was “in conversations” about the event. Nothing has been announced yet, although little is known about AEW’s event schedule beyond mid-June.
The first Grand Slam: Mexico card included a match between Mistico and MJF, as well as a match which saw Mercedes Moné dethrone Zeuxis to capture the CMLL World Women’s Championship. The main event saw a five-man babyface squad take on Jon Moxley’s Death Riders.
