KC Navarro vs. A.J. Francis

After a Rebellion recap, Nic Nemeth joined commentary. Navarro tried to use his speed for a quick victory, but Francis kept cutting him off at every opportunity and talked trash throughout. Francis hit Tennessee Whiskey, but Navarro caught him with a DDT, followed up by a series of dropkicks. Navarro hit Francis for a second-rope Olympic Slam but only got a two-count. Navarro went to the top rope, but Francis caught him with the TFL. He tried to set up Navarro for a Down Payment, but Nemeth stood up from the commentary desk, which distracted Francis. Navarro rolled up Francis for the win.

EC3 is back

We got a pre-tape promo from EC3, who said a story comes in three acts. Act 1 for him was to acquire a last name, become champion, and carry the company through its darkest time. Act 2: Go through trials, tribulations, successes, and failures. Act 3 isn’t a comeback. It’s a crusade for EC3, and it begins with Eric Young. EC3 affirmed that he is back in TNA.

The System’s Rebellion fallout

After Brian Myers took a victory lap for his and Bear Bronson’s win over The Hardys, Eddie Edwards blamed his loss to Mike Santana on Moose. He said Moose couldn’t stand the idea of him being a three-time TNA Champion, he couldn’t stand to see The System win all the gold, and he couldn’t stand the fact that Alisha is his ride-or-die. Alisha then said that Moose might have liked having her around because it made him feel smarter, but Moose prefers to have “stooges” around. She said she and The System played Moose like a fool because he is one. Cedric then talked about his loss to Leon Slater, calling him a cheater. He said their match should be ruled a DQ, and he should get another title match.

Slater then came out and told Cedric to shut up. Leon understood why Cedric had a “boo-boo face” (this got a chant from the crowd). It’s because he’s on the verge of becoming the longest-reigning X-Division Champion in history. Eddie responded by saying he has no chance and that Leon and Moose are the same because they just get lucky but aren’t able to back it up. Moose entered and said Eddie just likes to make excuses. He said Eddie lost because he’s a little bitch. He pointed out that he’s recently beaten Bronson and Alexander, which makes him his bitches. He told Eddie that everyone knows who has the balls in his relationship, so he’s Alisha’s bitch. He added that Brian Myers was Edge’s bitch, which got another chant from the crowd. He concluded by calling Alisha the biggest bitch that’s ever stepped into TNA. After a quick response from Alisha, Slater demanded a match, but Daria Rae came out and rejected it. After Slater pointed out that everyone likes Santino better, Daria announced that Slater and Moose would take on The System in a handicap match.

Elijah-Kazarian fallout

After a recap of their Rebellion match, Elijah meets up with Daria and asks for a rematch with Frankie Kazarian. Daria called Kazarian to ask if he wanted to face Elijah, and Kazarian said no.

Jada Stone vs. Tasha Steelz

Before the match, Mustafa Ali cut a promo to celebrate his TNA International Title win and declared an open challenge for anyone from the TNA or the independents. Stone attacked Steelz right away to start the match. There was an awkward moment where it seemed like Steelz was supposed to counter a hurricanrana spot from the outside, but they both ended up tumbling. Steelz maintained control both during and after a commercial break. Stone hit a flurry of offense, ending with double knees from the corner for a two-count. Steelz later tried to go for a sunset flip but ate a Stone superkick. She went into a handspring off the ropes, but Steelz countered with a German suplex. Stone hit a tornado DDT, bouncing off the ropes, a northern lights, and a facebuster. Order 4 distracted her, and Steelz hit Hail Mary for a nearfall. She threw Stone to the outside, and Order 4 surrounded her. The referee tossed them out, and Stone hit the Sparkle Stunner for the win.

The Undead Realm

We caught up with some members of the TNA roster in the Undead Realm. Rosemary reunited with Joseph Park, who revealed his divorce, before saying he had to leave to go “up north.” Tessa Blanchard entered an area and tried to fight off some ghouls, as the segment ended with “To Be Continued.”

Brotherly Jealously

Nic congratulated KC on his win and told him he’d do him a favor. Ryan entered, wondered what was going on between them, and read too much into KC calling Nic “brother.” The System came and mocked them. Bear got face-to-face with Bear and said he didn’t like his tone. Nic said he’d take him on anytime and anyplace. Ryan didn’t like what he saw and said he’d call their mom.

Next world title challenger

Mike Satana emerged from the crowd, wearing a custom New York Yankees jersey. He said Rebellion went as planned, cracked Eddie Edwards’ foundation, and left as TNA Champion. He added that he took out every former world champion thrown at him and wanted to give others an opportunity, like Rich Swann. Rich talked about the respect he had for Santana and his journey to becoming the TNA Champion. He asked if Santana was sure if he wanted to give him an opportunity. He told him he was in the best shape of his life as he took off his shirt and did a split. He knows people will talk about their match for years, and he will give Santana everything he has and will fight him all night long. He told “god-awful” woman Daria Rae to make the match happen next week.

Injury Report

This week’s injury report: Trey Miguel for a knee laceration, The Hardys for the “wear and tear” from their recent matches, Indi Hartwell was cleared but is out due to her suspension, and EC3 is cleared for an in-ring return later in the night.

Léi Yǐng Lee-Xia Brookside fallout

We got a pre-tape promo from Lee, who said she didn’t know what pro wrestling was, nor did she speak English when she left her country for the U.S. But Brookside was there for her, and they became a great team. She supported her when she won her first championship. Then everything changed at Rebellion, where she lost her title and her best friend. We cut to Brookside, who was watching from a monitor. She’s asked why she betrayed Lee, but she stared at the reporter and left.

Eric Young vs. EC3

Young jumped EC3 on the ramp. They took the action to the ring, but EC3 knocked EY and the referee to the outside. The match was declared a no-contest. EY wrapped a chair around EC3’s neck and slammed him onto the steel steps.

Back to the Undead Realm

We got more encounters in the Undead Realm, with Tessa Blanchard and Rosemary going at it. Tessa, Mila Moore, and Victoria Crawford run into Father James Mitchell, who led them out. After a bunch of flashing images, Tessa, Mila, and Victoria came out from under the ring. More “creepy” imagery, as Rosemary and Mara Sadé came out and attacked the trio. The crowd was dead silent as they brawled. Again, more “creepy” imagery. Allie returned “from the dead” and took out everyone. Crowd at least came alive with an “Allie” chant.

Broken Season

The Hardys cut a pre-tape promo, where Matt calls out The Righteous. He challenged Dutch to a match next week and added that it’s almost “Broken” season. Jeff snapped his fingers and laughed as the screen went black.

Leon Slater & Moose vs. The System

We got a fast start, with action spilling to the outside. Moose took on Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, and Cedric Alexander himself, but Eddie Edwards intervened. Leon Slater assisted, but the numbers advantage took over. Moose tried to take out The System on the outside, but he accidentally took out a security guard. Moose is taken out, as Slater hit a flurry of moves on different System members, until it was him and Cedric in the ring. Slater tried to go for a Sliced Bread, but Cedric countered with a lumbar check and pinned Slater.

Here is what was announced for next week’s Thursday Night Impact:

  • TNA World Championship: Mike Santana vs. Rich Swann
  • Matt Hardy vs. Dutch
  • Nic Nemeth vs. Bear Bronson
  • Xia Brookside to speak
