Ric Flair hasn’t appeared on WWE since 2021, but he claimed an incident involving Ludwig Kaiser kept him out of WrestleMania 42.
Flair was on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he said there should be a red carpet wherever he goes, yet he wasn’t invited to WrestleMania.
I didn’t get invited to WrestleMania this year. I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s husband last year. A 24-year-old kid being threatended by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go to WrestleMania? Are you kidding me? That English kid. He’s going to go as far in wrestling as a gnat. He’ll be a fly on a wall in a year.
After questioning Flair for more details, it was revealed that Flair was referring to Kaiser, Stratton’s ex-boyfriend, who is 35 years old. Flair also did not know about his current gimmick as the second El Grande Americano, yet still talked down to him.
Flair said he wasn’t happy about the segment between Stratton and Charlotte last year, in which Stratton referenced Charlotte’s real-life divorce from Andrade El Idolo. Charlotte made a line about Kaiser being in her DMs, which he reacted to on social media. Flair wasn’t a fan of the comment and claimed he called someone at WWE to try to get Kaiser’s number so he could “beat the shit out of him.” That’s when he claimed Kaiser told Paul Levesque about the situation, which led to him not being invited back to WWE and other events like WrestleMania 42.
Helwani’s interview with Flair also included the 77-year-old stating how everyone in the wrestling business should be thankful for Vince McMahon.
