Robbie Eagles and Kosei Fujita captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship on Saturday.

The title change occurred at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestling Redzone event at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall. The victory marks the third reign for the new champions.

Eagles and Fujita defeated Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X in a fast-paced encounter. The concluding moments saw Eagles counter an attack from Ishimori into a Turbo Backpack. His partner eliminated X from the ring with a dive to the floor. Eagles then applied the Ron Miller Special to force a submission from Ishimori.

In the show’s main event, IWGP Tag Team Champions Yuto-Ice and OSKAR successfully retained their titles. They defeated challengers Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI to secure their sixth defense.

Both teams exchanged heavy strikes and multiple near-falls in a match that lasted just over 26 minutes. Goto and YOSHI-HASHI attempted their signature Shoto maneuver, but OSKAR overpowered the challengers.

Ice executed a Cruella maneuver on YOSHI-HASHI to remove him from the ring. OSKAR then delivered the KOB on Goto to secure the pinfall victory.

The win extends the record for the most defenses by a team of two first-time champions.
