WWE President Nick Khan told staff on Monday in a town hall that WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque will continue in his role as head of creative, according to sources who viewed the town hall and informed POST Wrestling.

It’s unclear whether Khan’s comments reflect a formal extension of Levesque’s employment contract or a less formal affirmation of his performance as head of creative. WWE communications staff did not immediately return a request to clarify this.

Khan also addressed online criticism of WWE during the town hall, after being prompted by TKO President Mark Shapiro. Khan pushed back on criticism of WWE’s product, characterizing it as coming from “a vocal minority.” He specifically cited the perception that WrestleMania Night 1 was less well-received than Night 2.

Khan went on to read multiple messages from around 2015, which may have been tweets, that were critical of WWE’s product at that time. He appeared to be using the examples to argue that such criticism has historically proven to be unreliable.
