NXT draws largest audience since Feb. 16 airing against NBA & NHL playoffs

NXT saw a positive trend on Tuesday, with the show attracting its largest audience over the past three months.

The May 5 episode averaged 641,000 viewers and 0.11 in the 18-49 demographic on CW.

The audience increased by 18% from last week and was the show’s largest since February 17. The 18-49 grew from a 0.07 last week, and it was the demo’s largest rating since February 10.

The numbers are impressive as NXT aired against the NBA playoffs on NBC, averaging 5,250,000 viewers and a 1.28 rating in 18-49.

NXT averaged a 0.07 among adults 18-34, which is a two-week high after last week’s drop to a 0.03. Adults 25-54 averaged a 0.15 rating, which is the show’s highest since April 7.

NXT ranked second to last among network programming on Tuesday, with NXT outperforming Betrayal: Secrets on ABC. The cable rankings on Tuesday were led by the NHL playoffs on ESPN with 2,141,000 viewers and 0.62 in 18-49.
