Bayley returned to Lucha Libre AAA on the May 9 edition of its weekly show.
She aided La Catalina and Lola Vice against an attack by Las Toxicas.
La Catalina debuts and Bayley returns
La Catalina made her AAA in-ring debut on the show, securing a pinfall victory over Jessy Jackson following a top-rope splash. AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer had joined the commentary team for the contest.
Following the match, Flammer, Maravilla, and La Hiedra launched a three-on-one assault on Catalina. NXT Women’s and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion Lola Vice ran down to assist Catalina, but the faction quickly overwhelmed them with their numbers advantage.
Bayley then appeared to even the odds. The returning star helped Vice and Catalina clear the ring of Las Toxicas. Bayley previously challenged Flammer for the Reina de Reinas Championship at Rey de Reyes. Interference from the group cost her that encounter.
Psycho Clown confronts Pagano
The broadcast closed with an in-ring confrontation between AAA Tag Team Champions Psycho Clown and Pagano. Psycho Clown demanded an explanation after finding Pagano’s bandana near the site of an attack on Murder Clown.
Pagano denied any involvement, suggesting an unknown party was attempting to destroy the Psycho Circus faction.
After Psycho Clown rejected a hug and left the ring, the War Raiders appeared and attacked him from behind. Pagano rushed back to the ring to drive off the attackers. The two champions stared each other down before exiting separately as the show ended.
Triple-threat opener and future matches
The show opened with a fast-paced triple threat match featuring Lince Dorado, Octagón Jr, and Cruz Del Toro. The closing sequence saw Del Toro hit a coast-to-coast dropkick on Octagón Jr while his opponent was trapped in a tree of woe.
Dorado capitalized by hitting a shooting star press on Octagón Jr. He then executed a brainbuster on Del Toro to secure the pinfall.
Elsewhere, AAA announced a title match for the Noche de los Grandes event on May 30. El Hijo De Vikingo will challenge El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship.
Additionally, Galeno is scheduled for singles action on the May 16 episode.
