Fatu’s Fate

WWE Raw from Knoxville kicked off with Roman Reigns arriving at the venue and being approached by Adam Pearce. Pearce said Jacob Fatu went too far at Backlash, and he wanted to fire him. Reigns said not until he acknowledges him, and he would be the one to take him out. 

The Vision came down to the ring, and Paul Heyman cut a promo, pumping up the talent in the faction. Heyman said that Seth Rollins could never beat any of them. Austin Theory got on the mic and brought up Street Profits, noting that they needed the tag titles because Bianca can’t pay the bills anymore. The Street Profits interrupted, and Montez Ford said when they came back to Raw, their goal didn’t change – they still want the smoke. Joe Hendry then appeared with a guitar at ringside and again sang his “Fire Logan Paul” song. This led directly into the match as the bell rang during the first commercial break.

Street Profits & Joe Hendry vs. The Vision

The first match of the night saw Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory taking on Joe Hendry and The Street Profits. The Vision controlled the early portion of the match until Joe Hendry got the hot tag. Breakker was tagged in and shut down Hendry’s comeback as The Vision again regained control. After another ad break, Hendry made the hot tag to Montez Ford. Ford hit a big dive to the outside onto Breakker and caught Theory with a Powerslam for a near fall. Breakker then called for Theory to get the referee, but Seth Rollins appeared and attacked Breakker. Dawkins then rolled up Theory for the win. After the match, Breakker went to spear Rollins, but Rollins pushed Dawkins in the way. Rollins and Ford argued and shoved each other as the segment ended. 

Adam Pearce was backstage with OG Americano, Bruto, and Julio. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan interrupted and asked what Pearce had planned for Dom. Dom said that OG Americano wasn’t a real luchador, and they all started arguing. Pearce made a AAA Mega Championship match between Dominik and OG Americano later tonight. 

Los Garza approached and said they wanted an opportunity, and Pearce said they should talk.

 

Penta & Page

Intercontinental Champion Penta was out next, cutting a promo addressing Ethan Page, asking to face him. Page obliged and insulted Penta for painting his chin and hiding his face. Page noted that he pinned Penta last week and claimed Penta was afraid to lose to him again. Penta challenged him right then and there, but Page declined, instead offering Saturday Night’s Main Event in two weeks. Rusev interrupted, saying that it was he who bounced Penta’s head off the desk last week. Ethan Page claimed he tried to convince Adam Pearce that Rusev deserved a title shot first, but Je’Von Evans barged in instead. This brought out Evans, and all four men started brawling. The show went to commercial break, and Adam Pearce appeared, making Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans official. Evans hit two consecutive running knees, and the match was underway. 

Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans

Even though Evans got the early jump, Rusev took quick control of the match during the break. Upon returning, Evans began to fight from underneath, but Rusev slammed Evans on the announce table as the show went back into break. Rusev was still in control as they returned live, and again, all of Evans’ comeback attempts were thwarted. Evans avoided the Accolade and then hit a giant dive onto Rusev on the outside, followed by the OG Cutter for the win. 

A video on the AAA Mega Championship aired, narrated by Corey Graves. The end of the video featured Graves promoting tonight’s title match, which was funny because just a little while earlier, Graves was acting shocked that there was going to be a AAA title match on Raw. 

 

Asuka and Iyo Sky hugged backstage, and Asuka said that Iyo was the person she wanted to take over her position, and she was proud of her. Sky responded that even if they fight, they’ll always be family. With that, Asuka left the building, suitcase and all. Later, Michael Cole promised an update and said Asuka’s future was “up in the air” and “who knows”. Some update. 

Brie & Paige

WWE Women’s Tag Champions Brie & Paige cut an in-ring promo saying they were there because Roxanne and Raquel called them out. This brought out Perez and Rodriguez, with Perez calling Brie and Paige old and irrelevant. Raquel said Paige had been given a million chances, and everyone was just waiting for her next big scandal. A brawl ensued, and Liv Morgan appeared, attacking Paige and Brie and leaving them lying. 

Jimmy Uso joined Roman Reigns, and Jimmy said Jey was in the parking lot waiting for Jacob. Reigns wasn’t happy, saying he wanted Jacob to come to the ring later tonight. Jimmy said he would go find Jey and let him know.

A Dominik Mysterio vignette aired, in which he said that OG Americano would never get his hands on the AAA Mega Championship.

 

Iyo Sky vs. Sol Ruca

Next up was new call-up Sol Ruca taking on Iyo Sky. Both women were seemingly evenly matched early on until Ruca hit a Corkscrew Plancha off the second rope onto Iyo on the outside as the show went to commercial. Afterward, Sky hit a Spanish Fly on Ruca coming off the top rope. Ruca then hit Sky with a Blue Thunder Bomb coming out of a Fireman’s catch. Sky responded with a missile dropkick and a stomp to Ruca’s stomach for a two count. Ruca recovered and hit a cartwheel Tornado DDT from the top rope for her own near fall. Sky hit the Bullet Train attack and went for Over the Moonsault, but Ruca got her knees up. Ruca went for the Sol Snatcher, but Iyo Sky avoided it and rolled Ruca up for the win. 

Later backstage, Iyo called Sol “the future” and said they would fight again someday. Becky Lynch approached and laughed at her for not being able to beat “Iyo Jannetty”. 

 

Jimmy approached Jey, who was still waiting in the parking lot, and Jimmy said Reigns might be a bit delusional. They agreed that there was no way Jacob would acknowledge Reigns. Jimmy said he was going out with Roman and wished Jey luck with Jacob, thus failing to do what he told Reigns he would do. 

The Street Profits were interviewed backstage, and it was revealed that they were getting their tag title shot in two weeks. Seth Rollins interrupted and said they needed to talk. Rollins admitted he was wrong, and Ford said he wasn’t to be trusted and they didn’t need him to win the tag titles. 

Oba Femi Open Challenge

Next was the Oba Femi Open Challenge, but Adam Pearce canceled it because no one would answer it. Femi stormed to the back and attacked Los Garza, carrying them out to the ring. The bell rang, and the open challenge became a two-on-one handicap match. Femi decimated both Angel and Berto and won in under a minute with the Fall From Grace. Are they already out of ideas for this segment?

Finn Balor jumped JD McDonagh while he was on his way to the ring to accompany Dom for his AAA Mega Championship match.

AAA Mega Championship

The main event of the night was Dominik Mysterio defending his AAA Mega Championship against OG Grande Americano. Early on, the two were fighting on the ring apron and Dom executed a monkey flip on OG Americano and he flew through the air, hitting his head on the top of the ring post in an impressive-looking spot.

 

After the ad break, Mysterio missed a 619 attempt, allowing Americano to hit an Angle Slam and a Moonsault for a near fall. Los Americanos then appeared, nailing OG Americano behind the referee’s back. This brought out Bruto and Julio, who brawled to the back with Rayo and Bravo. OG tried to pull the mask off of Grande Americano, but was in perfect position for the 619, which Dom hit, followed by the Frogsplash for the win.
