Mexican wrestler Cuatrero (Rogelio Reyes) received a sentence on Tuesday after being found guilty of domestic violence and attempted femicide.
Reyes was sentenced to twelve years and eight months in prison after being found guilty and will be credited with two years already served of the sentence. It is possible he could serve significantly less time if he demonstrates good behavior.
The Mexican news outlet El Planchitas adds that Reyes’ former partner, Stephanie Vaquer, is expected to file an appeal and seek a lengthier sentence. Vaquer, who was in a relationship with Reyes, filed a complaint over a March 2023 incident where she accused the wrestler of grabbing her by the throat and throwing her against a wall.

Reyes is the son of legendary figure Cien Caras and the nephew of Máscara Año 2000 and Universo 2000. Reyes wrestled for CMLL and formed Nueva Generación Dinamita with brother Sanson and cousin Forastero. The unit became the World and Mexican National Trios champions in CMLL, with Reyes also becoming CMLL middleweight champion in January 2018 and holding the belt until he left the promotion in 2021.
The three, who moved to AAA in 2021, won their version of the World Trios titles in August 2022.
When the criminal complaint was filed by Vaquer in March 2023, it halted Cuatrero’s career as he was arrested and spent two years in prison before returning to the Mexican independent scene this year.
