Zero Hour – Guevara vs. Andretti

Ring of Honor’s Supercard of Honor event kicked off with the Zero Hour, with the first match seeing one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions, Sammy Guevara, taking on Action Andretti. The match began with Guevara refusing to adhere to the code of honor, instead giving Andretti the middle finger. From there, Andretti impressed with his high-flying moves as Guevara seemed to have answers for every one of Andretti’s maneuvers.

Guevara gained control of the match, showing off by squatting with Andretti on his shoulders and then talking into the camera, saying that it should be him challenging Bandido for the ROH title tonight. Andretti started fighting from underneath, nearly beating Sammy with numerous near falls. The finish saw Guevara hit the GTH after a Back Suplex Alleyoop Neckbreaker for the win. After the match, Sammy got on the mic and brought out Rush. Rush appeared, immediately attacking Action Andretti. This led directly into the next match.

Zero Hour – Rush vs. LSG

LSG appeared in the ring and was squashed by Rush in under one minute.

Backstage, ROH 6-Man Tag Champions STP cut a promo talking about how they wanted a fight tonight. They decided they wanted to do an open challenge here in “Massachusetts”, who any one but Kingston, Ortiz, and Mance.

Zero Hour – Lacey Lane & Janai Kai vs. Mina Shirawkawa & Queen Aminata

Next up was Mina Shirakawa with replacement partner Queen Aminata taking on Lacey Lane and Janai Kai. All four competitors showed out in this match, with Janai Kai and Queen Aminata having a particularly impactful sequence early on.

Lacey Lane impressed, and both teams seemed to have good chemistry with each other and their opponents. Mina and Aminata applied the Figure Four and Clover Leaf, with Janai Kai tapping out.

Lee Johnson and Jay Lethal cut a backstage promo with Lethal calling Samoa Joe a “clown,” and Anthony Bowens was a fool for choosing Joe as a leader. Lethal proposed Lethal Twist vs. Samoa Joe and Lee Johnson on Collision tomorrow night.

Zero Hour – Premier Athletes vs. The Rascalz

The next match saw the Premier Athletes, along with Stori Denali and Mark Sterling, taking on The Rascalz, Myron Reed, and Dezmond Xavier. As expected, Mark Sterling and Stori Denali got involved in the match behind the referee’s back, but Myron Reed recovered, hitting an impressive dive/cutter combo over the top rope onto the floor on both Athletes.

Sterling and Denali tried to get involved again, and Wentz took out Sterling by bounding off of Stori. Daivari hit the Magic Carpet Ride and had Reed pinned, but Xavier made the save with a corkscrew off the top rope. The Rascalz then hit their combo finisher, Soup Kitchen, for the win.

Supercard of Honor – Main Card

Pure Rules Match: Woods vs. McGuinness

The first match of the main show was a Pure Rules Match with Josh Woods taking on Nigel McGuinness. This marked Nigel’s first match since December, when he defeated Wheeler Yuta at Global Wars. Early on, Woods put Nigel on the ropes, and the referee called it a rope break as Woods lost his first of three allowed. McGuinness quickly utilized the ropes himself to break a Woods hold as well. Nigel grabbed the ropes again when he was caught in a Woods choke and then sauntered over to the announce table to provide his live perspective. Woods and the referee also put on headsets, and Mike Posey asked them to return to the ring.

Nigel then tricked Woods into using his second and third rope breaks, with McGuinness having only one remaining himself. Woods took control, throwing Nigel into the ringside barricade. Nigel used his final rope break after an ankle lock by Woods. Nigel then hit the Tower of London from the apron onto the floor.

The two competitors exchanged forearms strikes, first on the floor and then back in the ring as both hit simultaneous pump kicks. Woods hit the FYB/FYF combo for a near fall and then went back to the Ankle Lock. Nigel broke out of the hold, caught some offense, and collapsed on the mat. Nigel applied the London Dungeon, but Woods escaped. Something was clearly off here as Woods was not his normal self. Nigel hit the clothesline after bouncing off the second rope, and the referee could be heard saying “stay down,” and Nigel picked up the win. Woods appeared to be okay after the match, but the extent of the injury remains to be seen.

Women’s Television Championship

Next up, Red Velvet defended her Women’s TV title against Viva Van. This was a hard-hitting contest with both women throwing their hardest shots as Velvet screamed at Van.

The momentum swung back and forth as Van went for the Highway to Hell, but Velvet was able to reverse and hit the Meteora to the back of Van’s head. Van popped right up and hit the spinning backfist, and both women fell into a double pin for a double two count.

Velvet went for her finisher, but Van blocked it and hit an Air Raid Crash for a near fall. Van set up for Highway to Hell on the top rope, but Velvet was able to escape and hit an Iconoclasm for a two. Van set up for Highway to Hell a third time, and this landed it for another near fall. Viva Van set up for it again, but Velvet escaped. The two exchanged pin attempts until Velvet hit her Stir It Up spin kick for the win.

Men’s Television Championship

The next match was new ROH TV Champion AR Fox taking on Blackheart Lio Rush. As expected, Rush did not adhere to the Code of Honor and attacked the Champion before the bell rang.

Fox impressed as always with his high-flying moves, and Rush continued to creep out both Fox and the referee. Rush took control of the match, throwing Fox into the barricades at ringside and continuing his assault after tossing Fox back into the ring. Fox started mounting a comeback when Rush’s former Cru partner, Action Andretti, appeared at ringside, cheering on his former partner.

Rush took out Fox with a dive to the outside and his bottom-rope cutter for a two count, all the while not even acknowledging Adretti at ringside. Lio hit a Spanish Fly, followed by the Final Hour for a big near fall. Rush then grabbed the TV title, but the referee ripped it away from him. Andretti then knocked Rush off the top rope behind the ref’s back, and AR Fox hit the 450 for the win. This match was very good.

Sammy Guevara was interviewed, and it was revealed that he and Beast Mortos couldn’t defend the ROH tag titles tonight because of a Visa issue. Sammy turned his attention to the AEW World Championship, issuing a challenge to Darby Allin for Collision tomorrow, noting he has beaten Darby four times prior.

Women’s Pure Championship

Next was Deonna Purazzo defending her Women’s Pure Championship against Diamante. Early on, Diamante used her first rope break after Purazzo applied the Fujiwara arm bar. A short while later, Deonna used her first rope break as the announcers explained she hadn’t used a rope break in her last four matches. Diamante was warned for using a closed-fist strike to the face as she lost her temper, getting frustrated with Deonna’s offense.

Diamante then gained the upper hand in the match with Deonna, using a closed fist and getting her one and only warning as well. Purazzo applied another armbar, and Diamante again used a rope break, leaving her with just one remaining. Diamante gave Deonna the finger, and Deonna turned into the Venus de Milo, tapping out Diamante for the win.

Action Andretti cut a backstage promo, saying he could have used his partner earlier tonight, but Lio Rush forgot him and discarded him. Andretti said Cru was done, and a fire had been awoken inside him.

Men’s Pure Championship

Next was the Men’s side of the Pure Championship as Lee Moriarty defended against Ace Austin. It was noted that Moriarty was now the longest-reigning ROH Pure Champion in history, having eclipsed Samoa Joe’s record. Early on, Austin tried to show off by squatting with Moriarty on his back, but Moriarty reversed out of it and applied an armbar, forcing Austin to use his first rope break. Austin caught Moriarty with a Muta Lock, but was able to break out of the move by jamming Austin’s fingers into the mat. Austin used his second rope break after applying a hold and pushing Austin’s hand toward the rope. Immediately after, Austin applied a Koji Clutch, and Moriarty was forced to use his first rope break.

A short while later, Moriarty used another one during a Grapevine pin attempt by Austin. Austin used his third after an Armbar by Moriarty in the corner. Moriarty caught Austin with the armbar again, but Austin was able to dump his opponent over the top rope to the outside. Austin again applied the Koji Clutch, and Moriarty was forced to use his final rope break. Moriarty picked up the win by executing a trap pin and using the ropes legally to gain the pinfall.

Red Velvet cut a backstage promo saying she was pissed that she wasn’t in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. She turned her attention to TBS Champion Willow Nightingale. She accepted Willow’s open challenge for the TBS Championship, and that match would be on Collision tomorrow night.

Lexi Nair interviewed Jordan Oliver and Alec Price on the stage, and they wanted to wrestle Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos for the tag titles tonight, but they weren’t being defended. They said that they were feeling froggy and challenged any other team, which brought out the returning Kingdom’s Mike Bennett and Matt Taven, who accepted their challenge.

Six-Man Championship

The next match was STP’s open challenge for the Six-Man tag titles, being answered by The Outrunners and Dalton Castle. The announce team explained that The Infantry had previously accused The Outrunners of stealing their finishing move – theirs being called “Boot Camp” and The Outrunners calling it “Total Recall”. STP controlled the early part of the match as they kept Truth Magnum isolated, not allowing him to make the hot tag to Turbo Floyd or Dalton Castle. Finally, Turbo was tagged, but Shane Taylor thwarted the You Son of a Bitch Elbow.

STP triple-teamed Turbo Floyd, and the process repeated itself until finally Dalton Castle, who was taken out by Shane Taylor quite some time earlier, finally got the tag. Chrystian XO then distracted Castle, allowing STP to regain control, hitting the Marcus Garvey Driver, but the Outrunners made the save. Castle then hit Shane Taylor with the Bangarang in an impressive feat of strength. The Outrunners and Castle hit the Run and Hide to score the pinfall and win the 6-man titles. This was a pretty good match, but it was entirely too long.

STP jumped the new champs after the bell, and Orange Cassidy and Mark Briscoe ran down to make the save. Anthony Ogogo squared off with Orange Cassidy, and Cassidy hit slow punches on him until Briscoe nailed him with the chair. STP retreated, leaving the new 6-man champs and their new friends to celebrate in the ring.

AEW National Championship

Next up, Mark Davis defended his newly won AEW National Championship against CMLL’s Xelhua. Davis and Xelhua went at it with clubbing blows, and Davis eventually started going after Xelhua’s mask. Xelhua fought from underneath against his larger opponent, hitting Davis with a Hammerlock Drop.

Xelhua wrenched Davis’ knee before applying an ankle lock, but Davis countered with a piledriver from out of nowhere. Xelhua missed a splash from the top, Davis hit a Gutwrench Driver, followed by a Lariat for the win.

STP cut a backstage promo challenging any member of The Conglomeration to a match for Collision tomorrow night. Shortly thereafter, Briscoe and Cassidy accepted the challenge, seemingly indicating it would be a trios match rather than a one-on-one.

ROH World Championship

The next match was Bandido defending the Ring of Honor World Championship against Blake Christian. Both men started off the match flying around the ring, but matching each other’s speed and maneuvers. Jay Lethal attempted to get involved in the match, but Bandido fought him off. Unfortunately for Bandido, that gave Blake Christian the opportunity to take control, hitting a spinning dive onto Bandido on the outside. Lethal and Johnson were caught by the referee trying to grab Bandido’s leg and were promptly ejected. Bandido rolled out of the way twice in a row with Christian attempting a Springboard off the top rope.

Christian then battled out of the one-handed press slam to apply a triangle choke, but Bandido recovered to hit Christian with a powerbomb. Bandido started talking to his knee, telling it to wake up as Christian continued his assault with a Dragonscrew. Bandido hit a Springboard Northern Lights and rolled through for a second one for a near fall. Christian then hit a crazy-looking satellite DDT through the ropes with Bandido’s body smashing into the barricade. Christian hit the Lethal Injection for a two-count and followed that up with a spear on the apron.

Blake Christian cleared off the announce table, but was countered with a suplex as the table didn’t break. Bandido quickly pushed Christian back into the ring, hitting the 21-plex for only two. Christian hit a reverse Poisonrana off the second rope, following that up with the Springboard 450 for a very close near fall. Christian attempted the 21-plex, but Bandido blocked it. Bandido executed a stalling deadlift suplex from the apron into the ring.

Bandido attempted a shooting star, but Christian got his knees up. Christian went for a springboard, but Bandido hit a big dropkick to thwart the attempt. The two then went into overdrive, exchanging moves back and forth. Christian grabbed the ROH title and the referee grabbed it, allowing Christian to hit a low blow on Bandido, followed by a double stomp for a two count. Bandido caught Christian and hit a Styles Clash and hit the 21 Deadlift Plex for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Swerve Stickland came from out of nowhere to hit Bandido with two House Calls and a Vertebreaker on a chair.

ROH Women’s World Championship Survival of the Fittest Match

The main event of the night was Athena defending her ROH Women’s title in a Survival of the Fittest match against Maya World, Yuka Sakazaki, Trish Adora, Zayda Steel, and Billie Starkz. The bell rang, and Athena pulled Starkz to the outside, screaming at her to stick to their plan. Athena threw Starkz into the rest of the field, and the match was underway. Maya World hit a springboard moonsault to the outside on all five women, taking control of the match. Zayda Steel introduced a chair, and Athena quickly threw her into it, getting eliminated as Athena used the ropes to bridge the pin around the 5:00 mark.

Yuka Sakazaki and Maya World then used a chair and a kendo stick on Athena as Starkz and Adora joined in as well. Things went off the rails here as all remaining competitors started using weapons on each other. Athena also set up about ten chairs together on the outside. A short while later, Trish Adora chokeslammed Athena into the pile in a nasty-looking spot.

Starkz then went to suplex Adora from the announce table through a table at ringside, but Adora reversed and hit a Death Valley driver on Starkz on the announce table that didn’t give an ounce. Yuka Sakazaki did a springboard off the top rope onto Athena, who had been placed on the table on the outside. Yuka then pinned Trish Adora after a spinning faceplant at 15:38.

Billie Starkz then saved Athena from elimination by Yuka, and Billie pinned Yuka at 17:28, leaving Athena, Maya World, and Billie remaining. Athena and Billie Starkz then double-teamed Maya with kendo sticks as the crowd booed. Athena pulled out a ladder, and Athena accidentally nailed Billie with a punch, allowing Maya to pin her at 21:46. This left just Athena and Maya World as the final two combatants.

Maya World had several near falls on Athena, then applied an ankle lock. Billie tried to throw in a towel, but Athena stopped her. Athena pulled Billie back into the ring, and Athena slammed Maya onto a pile of chairs.  Athena climbed most of the way up the ladder and hit the O-Face on Maya World for the win. After the match, Athena was screaming, “Get over it!” at Billie.
