Mayu Iwatani has relinquished the GHC Women’s Championship.

Iwatani appeared at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Monday Magic show and revealed that she has a fractured big toe, which she sustained last month, and that it forced her to vacate her championship.

From Iwatani:

I really wanted to compete today, and I tried so hard to make it in time for WRESTLE MAGIC, but I have a fractured big toe, so I’m truly sorry… I will be relinquishing the GHC belt. It feels so bitter. I will definitely come back for this belt once I return! For now, just for a little while, we’ll have to say goodbye.

The GHC Women’s Championship was introduced in October 2024 and awarded to Kouki Amarei as its inaugural champion. Takumi Iroha became the second champion last June and lost the belt to Iwatani this past January on Marigold’s First Dream event.

NOAH has not yet announced how the championship will be decided.
