Netflix has released the viewership figures for its MMA debut featuring Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano’s return to the sport this past Saturday.

Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions issued a press release stating that the main card at 9 p.m. ET averaged 12.4 million viewers and peaked at nearly 17 million viewers, citing VideoAmp as its source for the viewership data.

It is broken down to an average of 9.3 million viewers in the United States across the main card, peaking at 11.6 million for the main event between Rousey and Carano.

The MMA record for a U.S. fight was the November 12, 2011, heavyweight title fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos on Fox. The fight peaked with 9,566,000 viewers across Fox and Fox Deportes. The hour-long broadcast on Fox averaged 5.7 million viewers on Fox and 497,000 on Fox Deportes in 2011.

All the figures are listed as Live+1 viewership, meaning it accounts for those watching live on Saturday and on replay over the next 24 hours.

The MMA broadcast was not included in Netflix’s weekly Tudum charts, which monitor the top ten movies and shows globally and by country.

The top TV show of the week on Netflix was The Roast of Kevin Hart with 13.5 million views, followed by Worst Ex Ever: Season 2 with 8.1 million views, and Nemesis: Season 1 at 7.1 million views. The May 11 edition of WWE Raw ranked #7 globally with 2.6 million views.

The promotion noted in the press release that the gate at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, exceeded $2.2 million.
