The appearance comes just a few days after a report stated AEW’s intention to work with Foley.
For long, Foley had ties to WWE through one of the brand’s Legends contracts. However, he announced his plan earlier this year to cut ties with the company, citing discomfort over the company’s ties to U.S. President Donald Trump, who he said was “void of compassion.”
While Foley’s WWE Legends deal runs until June of this year, he does not plan on renewing the contract.
60-year-old Foley has continued to make sporadic appearances in recent months. He was a surprise run-in during Sandman’s retirement match last month at GCW’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break card in Las Vegas.
