An AEW veteran who has been absent from TV as of late was seen backstage at last night’s pay-per-view.
Former TNT Champion Wardlow was in attendance for AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view on Sunday night, PWInsider recently reported.
The 38-year-old wrestler, who has been part of the AEW roster since 2020, hasn’t been seen in the ring for quite some time. His absence has been due to a mix of injuries and other projects.
In 2024, a torn labrum put Wardlow on the sidelines. While he returned at AEW’s Forbidden Door event last year, aligning with the Don Callis Family, just weeks later it was reported that a torn pectoral muscle put him back on the shelf.
Wardlow notably also spent part of his time away shooting for Amazon Prime Video’s American Gladiator reboot, which first became available on streaming last month.
It remains unclear when we could see Wardlow back in the ring. Once he returns, it’ll be his first match in over two years.
