Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to retain the WWE Women’s Championship at Clash in Italy with some help from Charlotte Flair.
The match saw a chaotic conclusion involving multiple outside parties. After B-Fab and Michin attempted to help Cargill, Flair emerged from the crowd to neutralize the threat with a barricade crossbody.
Cargill capitalized on the distraction to hit her Jaded finisher on the champion. However, Flair placed Ripley’s foot on the bottom rope to break the count. Ripley then delivered a headbutt and executed the Riptide to secure the pinfall victory.
Cargill controlled much of the early encounter. She intercepted Ripley on the floor and executed a fallaway slam before taunting the champion with push-ups.
The momentum shifted when Cargill crashed shoulder-first into the ring post. Ripley mounted a comeback with a series of short-arm clotheslines, a German suplex, and a cannonball off the apron.
Both women traded heavy offense in the final stages. Ripley connected with a modified Razor’s Edge and a top-rope back superplex, while Cargill earned near-falls with a DDT and a Blue Thunder Bomb.
