Acknowledgment Ceremony

Monday Night Raw from Turin kicked off with Roman Reigns arriving at the arena with The Usos and coming down to the ring for the Acknowledgment Ceremony. After an extended ovation and singing from the crowd, Jey Uso noted that Jacob Fatu was late on his first day on the job, prompting Fatu to make his entrance. 

Fatu got into Jey Uso’s face at first, but Roman beckoned him over to stand in front of him. He said that he has been taking losses his whole life, and those losses led him to this moment. Fatu admitted that he lost last night, but he didn’t lose to Jey Uso. He then acknowledged Reigns and got on one knee in front of him. Reigns told him that he loved him, and the four raised their “ones” as Fatu appeared to be okay with falling in line under Roman. 

Michael Cole and Corey Graves announced that the Grande Americano Mask vs Mask match would re-air, immediately following Raw on Netflix. A video aired promoting the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, which were set to begin tonight.

 

King of the Ring Four-Way Match

The first match of the night was the first in the King of the Ring tournament, with participants Penta, Camelo Hayes, Solo Sikoa, and Oba Femi. Sikoa had Talla Tonga in his corner, and the commentary team noted there were no DQs in a Fatal 4-Way, so Talla was free to help Sikoa win. Femi took out all three opponents during his entrance as his theme continued to play. The action was fast and furious as all four men angled for control. Oba Femi then came face-to-face with Talla Tonga on the outside before returning to the ring and double-chokeslamming Penta and Hayes.

After a commercial, Hayes and Penta began teaming up to take Femi down, prompting Sikoa and Talla to attack him and send him into the crowd. Femi recovered and took out all four men, culminating with Femi hitting Sikoa with the Fall From Grace for the win. After the match, Femi cut a promo saying he was still standing, he would win King of the Ring, and he reminded Brock Lesnar they were 1-1. 

Sol Ruca, Fighting Champion

Next, new Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca was interviewed in the ring by Cathy Kelley. Ruca thanked the fans for believing in her and gave props to Becky Lynch for being among the very best. Ruca said she was going to be a fighting champion. 

Footage was shown of Cody Rhodes running into Roman Reigns after the show last night. They then cut to Reigns and The Usos backstage watching, where Reigns directed Jey to win the King of the Ring and go on to win the WWE Championship. Reigns said there were two ends of the table and kept Jimmy back, saying Jey had to do it on his own. 

Mysterio & Lee vs. Page & Rusev

The next match saw Rey Mysterio teaming with Dragon Lee to take on the alliance of Ethan Page and Rusev. Rusev and Page had control early on as Dragon Lee fought from underneath, building to a hot tag to Mysterio. Mysterio set Page up for the 619, but Rusev stopped him. Page pushed Rey into Dragon Lee and nearly scored the win with a roll-up. Lee hit a dive onto Rusev on the outside, and Rey hit the 619 and what Michael Cole referred to as “Droppin’ Da Dime” (but that historically was a springboard leg drop, and this was just a splash) for the win. 

Backstage, Adam Pearce informed Penta that he would be facing Rey Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship sometime soon. LA Knight entered and complained about Pearce “winding the clock back” on the Bloodline. Pearce said he was merely trying to keep “family blood in line”. 

Highlights were aired from the Grande Americano match, followed by a bloody Chad Gable revealing himself to be the OG Americano. 

 

Queen of the Ring Four-Way Match

Next was the first Queen of the Ring match, featuring Iyo Sky, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, and Lash Legend. Early in the match, Legend picked up both Sky and Perez as the home-country favorite hit a dropkick off the top to a big ovation. After an ad break, Perez and Giulia briefly teamed up, but Perez quickly turned on Giulia, slamming her face-first into the announce table. Giulia hit Arrivederci on Lash Legend, but Perez made the save. Legend hit the Lash Extension on both Perez and Giulia but Sky made the save, hitting Over the Moonsault on Giulia for the win.
