Chad Gable has released the first edition of his documentary series detailing his recovery from a torn rotator cuff.
On his YouTube channel, Gable has launched a new doc series chronicling his absence from WWE programming last year when he learned of a torn rotator cuff requiring surgery.
Gable said the problems began after an October 2024 live event match with Gunther in the U.K. He injured his biceps in the right arm and learned of a slight tear, but not requiring surgery. Therefore, he continued wrestling but experienced pain and strength problems.
After a set of MRIs, he learned of tendinitis in the bicep and a partial rotator cuff tear. However, on his left arm, he was surprised to learn he had a full tear of the rotator cuff and would require surgery.
Gable needed time to process the news, believing he was on the “roll of a lifetime” wrestling various Luchadores under his El Grande Americano persona and earning a reputation as someone who never got injured. Gable’s last match occurred in June and didn’t return until this past January’s Royal Rumble.
The video also sees Gable seeking advice from members of the roster, including Bayley, Sami Zayn, and Finn Balor.
