Brookside & Lee
TNA Thursday Night Impact kicked off with Xia Brookside, who said she did nothing wrong when she turned on Lei Ying Lee. She continued, saying the Angel Warriors became all about Lee. Brookside was interrupted by Lee, who said she saw who Xia really was. The two began brawling as security attempted to separate them. For some reason, security stopped trying to stop them, and Brookside pulled one of the security members in the way of Lee’s Neckbreaker off the top rope.

Mike Santana was interviewed backstage ahead of teaming with Nic Nemeth and KC Navarro later in the night when they face Order 4. It was revealed that Santana and Nemeth couldn’t lay a hand on each other during the match. Santana said he knew how to be a pro, but he would take Nemeth out at Slammiversary. KC Navarro entered and said they couldn’t allow Order 4 to exploit the tension between Santana and Nemeth. Santana said he would do what was best tonight, but KC shouldn’t forget who has been looking out for him.

Santana, Nemeth, & Navarro vs. Order 4
The first match on the show was International Champion Mustafa Ali and the Great Hands taking on Mike Santana, Nic Nemeth, and KC Navarro. As soon as the bell rang, Nemeth tagged himself in, much to Santana’s chagrin, setting the tone for the match. Shortly thereafter, Nemeth and Santana began arguing, allowing Order 4 to take control. Things shifted quickly with Santana throwing one of the Great Hands out of the ring onto Ali and the other Great Hand.

After a commercial, Navarro managed to kick out of a triple powerbomb, and it was revealed that Tasha Steelz and Special Agent Zero were ejected from ringside for trying to get involved. Sanatana and Nemeth began to argue once more, and again Order 4 took advantage. Nemeth hit a Double Danger Zone, and Santana hit a Double Buck 50, and both pinned one member of the Great Hands for the win. Navarro got between them after the match, and Ryan Nemeth appeared to be attacking Santana. Santana tried to strike Ryan but nailed Navaroo instead. Nic hit a superkick on Santana to end the segment.

Backstage, The Nemeths, Navarro, and Santana argued about what happened with both Nic and Mike checking if Navarro was okay. He said he was okay and for Santana to focus on “Slam,” which seems to be how they’re referring to Slammiversary.

The King’s Speech
Next, Frankie Kazarian hosted his King’s Speech in-ring talking segment. Kazarian hyped up the return of the Ultimate X match at Slammiversary and introduced two competitors – Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander. Kazarian noted that Slater had almost broken his record when Alexander took the title. Alexander laughed at Slater’s heartbreak, and the two started shoving each other as Kazarian tried to keep them apart. Kazarian revealed that he was also going to be in the Ultimate X match at Slammiversary.

Sosa vs. Draper
The second match of the show (an hour in) saw Ricky Sosa taking on Dak Draper with Eric Young on commentary. Sosa was in control of the match, hitting a big dive over the top rope on Draper on the outside. Sosa was briefly distracted by Young on the outside, giving Draper an advantage, but ultimately Sosa won with the Blue Thunder Bang. After the match, Young and Sosa stared each other down ahead of their match at Slam.
