The family of Joe Doering has shared that the wrestler has entered hospice care after his latest fight with brain cancer.

Doering’s sister-in-law, Mandy Banh, shared the following update on Monday on Doering’s GoFundMe site:

Sad to share the news that Joe is heading to hospice soon. If anyone is local & would want to visit, please send a message. Joe could use all your good thoughts & prayers.

Doering, 44, was diagnosed with his third brain tumor this past December and has battled brain cancer for over a decade, while returning to wrestling during those years.

He began wrestling in 2004 after training at the Can-Am Wrestling School under Scott D’Amore, but found success overseas with All Japan Pro Wrestling. He started wrestling for the promotion in 2007 and won the Triple Crown seven years later, defeating Suwama, and won it a second time in October 2017. His accolades included four tag title reigns and a three-time winner of the Real World Tag League.

Doering became a regular at IMPACT Wrestling in 2021 as a member of Violent by Design, but his career ended in 2022 when he underwent brain surgery and developed ataxia, affecting the mobility on the right side of his body.

We all send our best wishes to Doering and are keeping him in our thoughts.
