Former AEW World Champion Darby Allin got married this weekend, one day before competing in a steel cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Allin married Sara Erickson on Saturday, June 27, in Seattle, Washington. Allin had previously said in an interview with Q104.3’s Jim Kerr Rock & Roll Morning Show that the wedding was scheduled for June 27, with Forbidden Door taking place the following night in San Jose, California. “So, no honeymoon here,” Allin joked.

In that interview, Allin also said that Sara was an ICU nurse, which he joked was “very on brand with dating me.”

AEW backstage interviewer Alicia Atout-Friedman shared a photo on Instagram showing Allin and Erickson together during the ceremony.

Instagram Stories from Atout-Friedman and Swerve Strickland showed several of Allin’s friends and colleagues in attendance, including MJF, Brody King, Bam Margera, and AEW President Tony Khan.

Strickland’s posts also showed members of the groom’s party taking turns receiving chops to the chest from Brody King.

Allin is scheduled for the 12-man steel cage match at Forbidden Door tonight, teaming with Mark Briscoe, Konosuke Takeshita, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly against MJF, Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Ídolo.

If Briscoe’s team wins, Briscoe will earn a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship.
