WWE Raw 6/29 Live Results: Femi postponing title shot to face Lesnar in Hell in a Cell

The King, The Beast, & The Cell

Monday Night Raw from Atlantic City kicked off with Oba Femi, coming off winning the King of the Ring over Jey Uso this past weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Femi began to speak about making a choice of who he would face at SummerSlam when Brock Lesnar’s music hit, and he hit the stage with Paul Heyman in tow.

Lesnar said he doesn’t watch the show, and he had to rely on Heyman to tell him that when he’s not there, he calls Brock a “coward” and a “bitch”. He continued, saying he’s not good at promos, which is why he’s got Heyman. Lesnar said, “You know what they say, talk shit, get hit”. With that, Lesnar hit Femi with a low blow and an F5 before leaving. Femi got on the mic and called Lesnar a bitch again. Femi challenged Brock to a match at SummerSlam and Lesnar accepted with one caveat – it would be Hell in a Cell. 

Heyman was arguing with Adam Pearce backstage about the Hell in a Cell challenge when Austin Theory interrupted, saying he didn’t know that Paul would be there. Heyman said, “Well, now you know,” and walked off. Pearce found Oba Femi, and Femi said the Championship would be there when he wanted it, so he was sure he wanted Lesnar at SummerSlam instead. 

Rey Mysterio vs. Ethan Page

The first match of the night saw Rey Mysterio taking on Ethan Page with Michael Cole explaining that there were Intercontinental Championship implications for the winner. Early in the match, Ethan Page avoided a 619 attempt by Mysterio and dropped him back-first onto the top turnbuckle as the show went to commercial. Upon return, Page was in control as Rey attempted to mount a comeback. Mysterio went for another 619 attempt but took a boot to the face from Page instead. Finally, Rey successfully hit the 619 and followed that up with the Frog Splash for the win. 

Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh entered Danhausen’s laboratory and took a New York Knicks frame addressed to Danhausen, hoping to lure him in. Before they left, they said they would wreck his lab. 

Joe Hendry Concert

Joe Hendry was out next for his concert, but before he began, he introduced the new World Tag Team Champions, The Street Profits. The Profits thanked the fans for their support and shouted out Seth Rollins and Joe Hendry for their help with dispatching The Vision last week. Hendry performed a song in which he repurposed “Fire Logan Paul” for Austin Theory. Theory interrupted the song and cut a promo about the Profits stealing “his” tag titles. Theory announced that he got The Vision a rematch for the titles next week on Raw. Hendry challenged Theory to a match, and Michael Cole was incredulous that it would be happening.

The show went to commercial, and the match began with Theory jumping Hendry before the bell. After the break, Michael Cole explained that the rest of The Vision was not there tonight as they were all dealing with injuries. Hendry hit Theory with the Hit Single, which is just a discus lariat for a two-count. Michael Cole and Corey Graves got off on a tangent about how the wrestlers tell Cole the move names, and he says them. This was mindblowing to Graves for some reason. Meanwhile, Hendry hit the Standing Ovation for the win. 

Raquel Rodriguez was backstage asking Adam Pearce for a shot at the Intercontinental title, and Pearce said that Maxxine Dupri was ahead of her in line. Pearce made a match between the two for later tonight. Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez entered, and Liv said she was worried about Iyo Sky and Danhausen’s curse. Rodriguez told her not to worry. 

The Queen of the Sky

New Queen of the Ring Iyo Sky was out next and was swiftly interrupted by Liv Morgan, who blamed her loss on being cursed by Danhausen. Liv said she no longer respected Iyo and noted that Finn Balor, Stephanie Vaquer, and Rhea Ripley have all been taken down because of her. Rodriguez and Perez appeared, attempting to attack Iyo but getting quickly dispatched. Liv attempted to hit Oblivion but got taken out by Iyo as well. Iyo set up for the Over the Moonsault but was stopped and attacked by the trio. Liv hit Iyo with Oblivion and put on the Half Crab, as Iyo tapped out. Finally, officials appeared and stopped the attack.
