A Great American Bash rematch will go down on next week’s episode of NXT.
NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo will rematch Naraku on the July 21 episode of the show, it was announced tonight. After D’Angelo attacked Naraku twice in the same night, it was revealed by General Manager Robert Stone that next week’s showdown between them will be a street fight.
D’Angelo will be looking to defend his world title for the fourth time on TV since he captured the belt back in April. He took down Naraku last month at Great American Bash in a 10-minute performance.
Next week’s show will also see the in-ring debut of Reina Volcan. The 29-year-old talent, who made waves on the independent scene under the name Nikki Blackheart, debuted two weeks back. Now, she wrestles her first match on NXT across from Skylar Raye.
A series of grudge matches has been confirmed for next week as well: Shawn Spears faces former Culling understudy Niko Vance, Jaida Parker takes another crack at Nattie, and Saquon Shugars enlists Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno to help him take down DarkState in a six-man tag bout.
Here’s how next week’s show looks currently:
- Tony D’Angelo vs. Naraku (Street Fight) (NXT Championship)
- Dion Lennox, Culter James & Osiris Griffin vs. Saquon Shugars, Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
- Reina Volcan vs. Skylar Raye
