Former ROH owner Cary Silkin attends WWE live event in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin was a guest at WWE’s live event in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on Thursday.

The former ROH owner posted several videos, noting he was provided front row tickets by CM Punk with a photo of the two men embracing after Punk’s match with Gunther.

Silkin shared a video alongside Damian Priest, noting their own connection when he wrestled as Punishment Martinez in ROH from 2015-18.

Silkin absorbed control of ROH in 2004 after the ouster of Rob Feinstein and financed the company for the next seven years before selling it to Sinclair Broadcasting. Silkin has been open in the past that the promotion never made money during his tenure, and the sale to Sinclair allowed it to continue. During the Sinclair years, Silkin remained a fixture at events and stationed ringside as a figurehead.

Punk was an instrumental figure in ROH’s earliest years, both as a performer and as a trainer at its school in Philadelphia. He left the promotion in 2006 after signing a development contract with WWE.

In 2022, Tony Khan purchased the company from Sinclair and continues to operate the promotion.

CM Punk defeated Gunther in the main event of the show on Thursday. Priest & R-Truth defended the tag titles against the War Raiders.
