It looks like Sami Callihan has found new work following his recent departure from TNA Wrestling.
Callihan is reportedly working backstage for AEW, per reports from Fightful Select and Bodyslam.net. The retired wrestler is not in an official role with the company, but instead helping them out on a “trial basis,” Fightful reported.
It was announced last month that Callihan exited TNA, along with a few other cuts to their backstage roster. He told Busted Open radio that his parting ways with the company was “a money thing.”
Callihan wasn’t working in the company’s creative department, but instead helped the company in roles like coach and producer, as well as assisting with merch and promoting.
Along with his work in TNA and now AEW, Callihan runs Pro Wrestling REVOLVER, an Ohio-based independent promotion. They have run four events so far in 2026.
